Giardino d'Inverno #08 [Carnival/Sweets] - Italian Carnival Nail Art

Sì, venerdì, di nuovo!
Ergo... Giardino d'Inverno!
Oggi il tema, proposto da Francine, è dolci/carnevale.
E io, che temo di aver mostrato tutti i miei smalti matte/satin/textured non glitterati, mi aggrappo nuovamente a una nail art. Anzi, "nail art".
Ecco cos'ho utilizzato e la bozza di ciò che ho creato:

Today's theme, by Francine, is sweets/carnival.
And I'm afraid to have showed all my matte/satin/non glitter textured, so here's my nail art.
Better, "nail art".
And here's what I've used and proof:

Dopo aver dato una bella base di bianco (Sinful Colors Snow Me White) per evitare le unghie macchiate, ho steso una mano di Sinful Colors Matte Savage, quindi ho creato le stelle filanti con il Color Club Popsicle su indice e mignolo, su medio ho creato un piatto argentato, grazie al Pupa Chrome Silver, sul quale ho posto delle frittelle, grazie a O·P·I Sprung, Oy-another Polish Joke! e A Woman's Prague-ative. Sull'anulare ho creato a mano libera una maschera utilizzando il Kiko Sugar Matt 458 e, usando i vermicelli olografici all'interno del Sephora Silver Rain, ho creato una sorta di "piumaggio" nella parte superiore della maschera. Infine, aiutandomi con un dotter, ho sfruttato singoli glitter a mo' di coriandoli dai seguenti smalti: Essence Nail Art Special Effect Topper 13 Mrs And Mr Glitter, Shaka Las Vegas, Kiko 169, O·P·I You Glitter Be Good To Me e Pirouette My Whistle.
Come potreste aver notato, ho cercato di utilizzare un gran numero di finish, dalla crema (il bianco) al matte (azzurro), dal neon (rosa) al sabbiato (la maschera), dal cromato (vassoio) al foil (dolci). Senza contare i glitter e le barrette glitter olografiche.
Ma passiamo alle immagini:

After a coat of white base (Sinful Colors Snow Me White) to avoid stained nails, I've layered a coat of Sinful Colors Matte Savage, then I've created streamers using Color Club Popsicle on index and little finger nails, on the middle finger nail I've created a silver plate thanks to Pupa Chrome Silver, on which I've "put" frittelle (sort of buñuelos typical of Carnival time in Italy), using O·P·I Sprung, Oy-another Polish Joke! and A Woman's Prague-ative. On the ring finger nail I've created a carnival mask using Kiko Sugar Matt 458 on which I've put feathers thanks to Sephora Silver Rain holographic sticks. Last but not least I've put on each nail different glitters using a dotter to recreate confettis. For confettis I've used: Essence Nail Art Special Effect Topper 13 Mrs And Mr Glitter, Shaka Las Vegas, Kiko 169, O·P·I You Glitter Be Good To Me and Pirouette My Whistle.
As you might have noticed, I've tried to use different kind of finishes: cream, matte, neon, sand, chrome, foil, glitters and holographic bars.
But enough talking, here the photos:

Sally Hansen 417 Barracuda

Come potreste sapere, durante i saldi (che CREDO terminino domani), Sephora ha deciso di mettere in saldo la linea di smalti Sally Hansen.
Ecco una delle boccette che ha trovato casa, sfruttando l'evento.

While sales were on (I THINK they will end tomorrow, here), Sephora Italy has chosen to low Sally Hansen lacquers.
Here's one of the bottles that have therefore found home.

Questo è il numero 417, Barracuda.
E' un azzurro pastello stupendo, appena l'ho visto mi ha fatto sentire talmente tanto la primavera che ho deciso dovesse venire via dal negozio con me.

This is number 417, Barracuda.
It is a gorgeous pastel light blue. After the first glaze, I suddenly felt Spring, so I've chosen to buy it.

Diciamocelo, il pennellone in queste boccette è orrendo, semplicemente. Ma lo smalto asciuga rapido e, in questo momento, dopo tre giorni di utilizzo, non mostra ne' segni di tip wear ne' scheggiature, perciò, in qualche modo gli perdono lo stupido pennello enorme.
Che ne pensate??

I can't deny that the brush is hideous! But the drying time of this lacquer is rather quick and right now it shows no tip wear signs nor chipping so I might be able to move over the brush.

Wjcon Burlesque 05 (Limited Edition)

OK, questo post sarà addirittura più breve del solito.

Ma volevo mostrarvi una "novità" per questi schermi...

Today I will be briefer than the usually.
I want to show you a "new" brand on this screen...

Lui è Wjcon (che io pronuncio "vu-giei-con" ma ho sentito chi lo pronunciava "uìcon"... Qual è la vostra pronuncia???) appartenente all'edizione limitata Burlesque numero 05. Nome non pervenuto.
Potreste trovarlo ancora in offerta, al momento, nei negozi monomarca.
Il colore è viola (ma come sono professional) con shimmer magenta; rispetto alle immagini sottostanti, la base nera è molto meno intensa.

This is an italian polish, Wjcon (IDK how to pronounce that) Burlesque L.E. lacquer number 05. John Dee (yup, it doesn't have a name). You might be able to find it on sale, if you're around here.
It is a dark purple with magenta shimmer; IRL is it much less black based.

Beh, la durata mi è sembrata quasi perfetta, ma devo ammettere di averlo indossato solo tre giorni in cui ho fatto poco o niente. Buona l'asciugatura e la stesura, mi ricorda tanto i Kiko...
Se ve lo steste chiedendo Wjcon porta, sul retro della boccetta "Milano" (nonostante abbia una boccetta sulla quale vi sia scritto "Perugia") e sembrano essere "Made In France".
Va bene, sono ufficialmente un rottame, fatemi sapere se ne sapete di più, nei commenti ;)

So, its lasting is very good (at least if you wear this for three days and do almost nothing - yes, that's what I've done!). Nice drying time and application, it reminds me a bit Kiko lacquers...
The lacquer is made in France, the brand is Italian, though.

Nicōle by O·P·I Follow Me On Glitter (NI K10)

Rapidissimamente, oggi vi mostro uno smalto che la mia fotocamera ha fortemente detestato in combinazione con la luce solare.

Very very quickly, I'm going to show you a polish hated by my camera when in combo with sun light.

Lui è Follow Me On Glitter (NI K10) di Nicōle by O·P·I, uno stupendo grigio antracite pieno di glitter medi multicolori (argento, magenta, arancione, azzurro e credo di averci visto anche del verde) e glitter super fini argentati.

This is Nicōle by O·P·I Follow Me On Glitter (NI K10), a beautiful anthracite grey full of mid sized colorful glitters (silver, magenta, orange, light blue and I think green too) and super micro silver glitters.

Vedete? La mia fotocamera e lui si detestano profondamente. Che peccato, in realtà è davvero bellino!!!

See? My camera and this polish hate each other deeply. What a pity, it is super cute, IRL!!!

E in queste immagini (mosse) all'ombra si nota meglio il vero colore del tutto.
OK, io non mi faccio mai troppi problemi per levare un po' di glitter... ma sappiate che lui è tutto glitter!
Vi dirò, mi è piaciuto talmente tanto che la mia casa ospita ben due boccette!
Voi cosa ne pensate???
Intanto, vi auguro buone nanne, ci rileggiamo domani con... una novità su questi schermi!

Well, for me is not a problem to remove glitters but this is a thing made of glitters!
But, you know, I like it so much that I have two bottles of that in my drawers!

Something About Me Nail Art Contest @ She Loves Polishes - My Entry: My ChowChow Love Nail Art

Buona domenica!!!
Oggi, ringraziando il bel tempo, sono riuscita a creare la "nail art" con la quale partecipare al contest della dolcissima Sara. Contest che termina quest'oggi a mezzanotte.
Il tema è, appunto, "Something About Me". E, pensando a me, a cosa ho pensato? Alla mia metà pelosa, la mia cagnolotta, il chow chow più bello del mondo, Nala.
Se mi seguite da un po', potreste averla intravista in qualche post qua' e la' (tipo qui, qui, qui e qui).

This morning, thanks to the weather, I was able to create my own "nail art" entry to Sara's contest (which ends in circa 8 hours, so you might be able to entry).
The theme is "Something About Me". And, thinking about myself, what did shine bright in my mind? My furry fluffy beloved half of my heart, my Chow Chow bitch, the most beautiful ever, Nala.
If you follow me since a lot of time, you might have seen her here and there (like here, here, here and here).

Ecco, innanzitutto, i colori utilizzati:
• arancione/rosso/rame, O·P·I A Woman's Prague-ative
• blu, O·P·I Into The Night
• nero, Color Club Where's The Soiree?
• rosso, O·P·I OPI Red
• bianco, Sinful Colors Snow Me White
• crema perlato, Color Club Oui Oui Oui!
E ora, andiamo al dunque, ovvero la mia... "nail art".
L'idea la vedete anche nel foglio nell'immagine superiore, ovvero:
• indice, la pettorina (la mia Nala ce l'ha rossa) sul dorso della mia pelosona;
• medio, un cuore fra le impronte delle quattro zampe, a indicare il mio immenso amore;
• anulare, il muso della mia pelosona con la linguaccia blu/viola di fuori (è una tipicità di questa razza). La mia Nala è fulva diluita, quindi ha la sfumature biancastre, che ho ricreato mescolando il bianco e il crema perlato;
• mignolo, altre due zampotte intente a muoversi.

First of all, here's what I've used:

• blue, O·P·I Into The Night
• black, Color Club Where's The Soiree?
• red, O·P·I OPI Red
• white, Sinful Colors Snow Me White
• pearly cream, Color Club Oui Oui Oui!
And now... to the "nail art".
You can take a look at my idea between the bottles above, that is:
• index, Nala's back with harness on (her is red);
• middle, a heart between paws, for my huge love for her;
• ring, Nala's muzzle with her blue/purple tongue (peculiar to this breed). My Nala is red coated with white shades all over, which I've recreated by mixing the white and the pearly cream lacquers;
• little, other two moving paws.

Va bene, posso dire di essere abbastanza soddisfatta del risultato.

Un nuovo venerdì è alle porte... ergo, tempo di post gemellato!
Per quest'oggi, il tema è "Motivi Geometrici", tema scelto da Silvia.
Fin da subito, ho avuto ben in mente cosa creare.
E, per prima cosa, vi mostro la base.

Today's theme is "Geometric Motifs" chosen by Silvia.
Since the first time I knew about it, I know what to do.
And, as a first step, here's the base.

Oooh, sì, ho optato per un qualcosa di decisamente optical!
Ho deciso di mostrarvi la "base" giusto perché, anche come manicure finita, la trovo carinissima.
Gli smalti utilizzati sono i miei soliti bianco&nero, ovvero Sinful Colors Snow Me White per il bianco e Color Club Where's The Soiree? per il nero.
Vabbè, dai, vi lascio alla manicure completata, ora.

Oooh, yes, I've chosen something optical!
I choose to show the "base" because I really like it also as a finished manicure.
The colours are my classic black&white, Sinful Colors Snow Me White (white) and Color Club Where's The Soiree? (black).
OK, now it's time to show you the thing completed.

Mi piace da matti!!!
Talmente tanto che ho optato per lasciarla così, metà lucida e metà satinata.
Alloooora, che ne pensate? Vi piace quanto è piaciuta a me???

Mi-ny Glam Lacquer 42 Calla Lily

Come anticipato ieri, oggi è tempo di... verde!

As I was saying yesterday, today's colour is... green!

Yeee, e vi parlo di un mi-ny, il numero 42 alias Calla Lily.
Ora arriva la parte difficile. In genere, non sono una grande fan del colore verde... so che ne esistono mille mila varietà ma non so come descriverlo. Perdonatemi e accettate un misero "verde bottiglia scuro" metallizzato.

Yeee, and I'm going to talk you about a mi-ny lacquer, number 42 a.k.a. Calla Lily.
And now comes the difficult part. Generally, I'm not huge fan of green shades... I know there are thousands of shades but I really don't know how to describe it. Forgive me and accept a poor metallic "dark bottle green".

Mi-ny è un brand italiano (qualcuno ha detto "Bergamo, come sempre"?) di cosmetici - smalti in primis - che stanno iniziando a vedersi in giro, soprattutto nei blog. Sì, soprattutto nei blog perché, purtroppo, al di là del sito ufficiale, si trovano solo nei (pochi) punti vendita monomarca.
Il prezzo è medio-basso, per essere in Italia (3,90€ per gli smalti della linea "normale", con alcune eccezioni di  4,90€, fra i quali anche i sabbiati, e 5,40€ per una delle sei boccette di olografici; al momento c'è anche un'edizione limitata disponibile a 9,90€ a boccetta), la qualità medio-alta (più tendente all' "alto"). Le boccette contengono 11mL, hanno un pennellino sottile e lungo molto maneggevole. Sono facili da stendere, asciugano mediamente velocemente e hanno una buona durata.
Recentemente ho acquistato "alcune" (15) boccette per provare bene questo brand, quindi aspettatevi nuovi post a riguardo.
Per ora, fatemi sapere che ne pensate, se ne possedete o se sareste curiose di averne!

Mi-ny is an italian cosmetics brand with an eye for lacquers.
Recently, you are able to see this brand in italian blogs more than IRL because, besides the official web page, there are not many brand stores.
The price, here, is medium-low range (3,90€ for classic nail polishes with some exceptions for 4,90€, as sand effect, 5,40€ for a bottle of holographic lacquer - there are six shades; now, there is also a limited edition for 9,90€ each bottle), the quality is medium-high range (more "high" than "medium"). The bottles contains 11mL and have a long thin brush which I like very much.
The application is very easy and comfy, drying time is nice and the lasting is very good.
Lately, I've bought "some" (15) bottles to try this brand better, so wait for some other posts.
But now, let me know what do you think about it, if you own any mi-ny lacquers or would to!
