Today I want to share a lacquer which is at my side since a long time but I've never shown it here yet.

Parlo, come da titolo, dell'Orly Lavish Bash, della collezione uscita per le feste Natalizie del 2013, una base trasparente che accoglie dei glitter che sembrano quasi shimmer dorati, delle barrette holo e dei glitterozzi holo.
In realtà è un topper, QUI trovate il post della mia amica Aly in varie passate e da solo su base nera.
Io ve lo mostro in 4 passate cicciottose.

I'm talking about Orly Lavish Bash out of the Secret Society collection, on sale for Holiday 2013.
It's a clear base with gilded glitters which seem like shimmer, silver holo bars and holo glitters.
Actually, it's a topper, HERE you can find one of my friend Aly's posts about it where Lavish Bash is shown in 1 to 4 coats and over a black base.
In my post you are going to see it within 4 thick coats.

Cosa ne pensate, vi piace?
Io devo ammettere che dubito fortemente di utilizzarlo nuovamente da solo, ma per il periodo Natalizio dev'essere ottimo per crearci una nail art, che ne dite?

What do you think, do you like it?
I have to admit that I probably won't ever use it on its own, but during holiday time I could use it for nail arts, right?

[B&F-F/W16-17] Animation/Comic: Frozen - CBL Twinkling Lights

Ne è passato di tempo dall'ultimo post programmato.
Ne è passato talmente tanto che... questo fine settimana arriva il post conclusivo della nostra Books&Films - Fall Winter 2016-17 Challenge.
E sia mai che, almeno per il gran finale, manchi.
Per cui ecco il primo dei post per questo rush finale, dove recupero tutti gli appuntamenti non pubblicati.

It's been a long time, since my last planned post.
It's been such a long time that... this weekend there will be the final Books&Films Fall-Winter 2016-17 Challenge post.
And I can not miss the grand finale.
So here's the first post of my final sprint, when I catch up my not-posted-yet posts.

Come da titolo, si parla di film d'animazione. Questo, per me, è stato un po' un problema. Vedete, io ho un ENORME punto debole... che si chiama Disney.
Per cui ho scelto il più recente che mi abbia letteralmente fatto impazzire: Frozen!
E quale miglior smalto del Colors by Llarowe Twinkling Lights della collezione Holiday 2016 per richiamare il scintillio nevoso?

As you might've wondered from the title, we're talking about animation movies. And this is so much of a problem. You see, I have a HUGE soft spot... it's called Disney.
So I've picked the most recent movie that made me literally crazy: Frozen!
And what better lacquer than CbL Holiday 2016 collection Twinkling Lights to  recall the twinkling snow?

3 passate in foto, con l'aggiunta di un top coat lucido (asciuga semi-matte).
Tornando a Frozen, ho aggiunto il China Glaze Snow Globe sulle punte e ho stampato con uno smalto bianco e uno argento olografico dei fiocchi di neve, al centro dei quali ho applicato un glitter quadrato olografico dello smalto Sally Hansen 640 Open Mica Night.

3 coats in my photos, plus a shiny top coat since it dries with a demi-matte finish.
Taking back to Frozen, I've added on the outer edge of my nails some China Glaze Snow Globe and I've stamped using a white and a holo silver lacquers some snowflakes and then I've added a squared holo glitter using Sally Hansen 640 Open Mica Night in the middle of my snowflakes.

ABC Challenge: Y - YSL 33 Top Coat Premiere Neige (and Merry Christmas!)

E' la Vigilia di Natale <3
Per questo appuntamento speciale ho in serbo uno smalto unico nel suo genere: il top coat Premiere Neige (33) di Yves Saint Laurent della collezione natalizia.
Per portare a casa questo piccino (ho provato in tutte le Sephora di FVG e Veneto e in vari altri punti vendita e nessuno ne sapeva nulla) ho fatto affidamento a un'amica andata a Londra (grazie di cuore, Elenina!) perché CREDO non sia stato commercializzato in Italia. Mannaggia.

It's Christmas Eve <3
For this special post I have for you the top coat from the YSL's holiday collection n.33 Premiere Neige.
I think that this isn't available in Italy (mine arrived here thanks to a dear friend who was in London last month). 

Trasparente? Beh, la base sì. Ma è magico. Magico. Cuccatevi il close up del fondo:

Il tappo quadrato si stacca per rivelare un più comodo (e piccolo) tappo tondo:

The square cap is releasable and you can use the (tinier) round cap:

Sostanzialmente, questo top coat funziona come le palle di neve.
Ho scelto questa immagine perché si nota bene il riflesso (infotografabile) rosa.
Principalmente, questo smalto bianco, ha riflessi azzurri.
Ma non un azzurro normale.
Uno particolarmente bello.

So, this top coat is not a nail polish but a snowglobe!
In this picture you can see the unphotographable pink shimmer.
It has light blue glares.
But not a normal light blue.
A gorgeous one.

In questo collage di immagini, lo potete vedere dove da il meglio di se: sopra una base nera cream.
Notare i riflessi rosa. E il tripudio azzurro.
E' ufficiale: è il mio top coat preferito al mondo <3

Allora, il suo prezzo è di 18 sterline(22€), ovvero esattamente in linea col prezzo degli smalti YSL in Italia.
Una cosa che mi ha colpita è stata la consistenza: più che smalto, sembra una base d'acqua.
Infine, l'asciugatura è parecchio rapida (meno di 5 minuti, sicuramente). ^w^

Well, its price in the UK was £18 (22€), the same price as YSL nail polishes in Italy.
It has a really strange texture: it's very similar to water.
And it dries quickly ^w^

Sleek Sparkle 2 Palette (Limited Edition)

Sì, non avete letto male, sto pian piano ritornando al trucco, com'era una volta (prima di seguire la mia passione esagerata per gli smalti) in questo mio piccolo spazio virtuale.
Viste le festività imminenti, ho deciso di mostrarvi l'ultima nata in casa Sleek, la palette Sparkle 2.

Yes, you've read it right.
Today's post's about make up. Eyeshadows.
Yep, holidays are coming so, what's better than a glittery make up? Nothing.
So, here's the LE Sparkle 2 palette from Sleek.

Nella deliziosa scatolina di cartone ho trovato la palette e una sorta di piccolo volantino contenente pubblicità dei prodotti Sleek.

In the box, besides of the palette, I found an ad about Sleek products.

Ecco la palettina aperta, in tutto il suo splendore.
Sopra gli ombretti c'è una plastica sulla quale sono stampati i nomi degli ombretti e, nella parte inferiore, è presente uno scanso, nel quale è presente un doppio applicatore per ombretti.

And this is the beautiful palette.
Over the eyeshadows, there's a plastic sheet on which the names of the eyeshadows are written.
There's a double ended sponge applicator too.

Come potrete notare da quest'immagine, gli ombretti sono tutti matte con glitter.
Le uniche eccezioni sono Chocolate Penny, Truffle, Gold Ribbon e Tinsel, che sono semplicemente metallizzati.
Ma passiamo agli swatch (in tutte le immagini, troverete a sinistra l'ombretto normale e, a destra, lo stesso steso sopra un primer).

All the eyeshadows in this palette are glittery matte except Chocolate Penny, Truffle, Gold Ribbon and Tinsel, which are metallic.
But take a look at the swatches (on the left there's the normal eyeshadow and on the right it is over a primer).

Ok, tempo di considerazioni.
La palette da 12 ombretti costa 9,90€ da Sephora (io l'ho portata a casa a 8,42€ grazie a uno sconto del 15%) e il rapporto qualità/prezzo è molto buona.
Da quando ce l'ho, l'ho utilizzata davvero un sacco (giusto per farvi capire, ho quasi fatto il buco a Tinsel).
Un difetto, per me, potrebbe essere il fatto che ha colori che io utilizzerò abbastanza difficilmente (Mulled Wine, Festive, Blue Spruce, Illusion) e il fatto che una persona difficilmente la utilizzerà per truccarsi di prima mattina o lontano dalle festività.
Ma, visto il prezzo, si può chiudere un occhio.
Un altro difettuccio è che sono abbastanza polverosi, per cui è meglio utilizzare una base (anche perché sono tutti a base minerale, per cui la base fa differenza).
Per il resto, la adoro, sto usando tantissimo tre colori in particolare (Tinsel, Blue Spruce, Twinkle, ma anche Starry Night come eyeliner).
A proposito, questa palette mi ha ricordato che devo ancora mostrarvi la Curacao e la Monaco, sempre Sleek.
Prima o poi arriveranno, voi siate pazienti :D

Now, my thought.
There are 12 eyeshadows in this palette and it is sold for 9,90€ (Italy price - I bought mine at Sephora's with a 15% discount, so I paid it 8,42€).
Since I bought it, I used it a lot and my Tinsel is (almost) a donut.
There are some colours which I don't use (Mulled Wine, Festive, Blue Spruce, Illusion) and they are not morning colours.
But it's cheap.
And cheap is good.
Another con is that the eyeshadows are a bit dusty/chalky (they all are mineral based, so the primer is always needed).
But I still love this palette and I am using it a lot, especially Tinsel, Blue Spruce, Twinkle and Starry Night.
This palette remembers me that I still have to show you the Curacao and the Monaco palettes by Sleek.
Soon (well, sort of) they will be in my blog, be patient :D
