Oggi siamo ufficialmente in equinozio autunnale.
Non sono abituata a postare foto dedicate alle stagioni ma quest'anno ho preparato una piccola nail art.
Ecco le foto:

Today it's officially equinox!
I'm not used to post season-inspired photos (except for Christmas) but this year I've prepared a tiny nail art.
Here are my photos:

Escludendo la base, ILNP Copper Top, ho usato 4 boccette, 2 plate e 1 dotter per creare la mia nail art.
Gli smalti utilizzati sono: Colour Alike B. an Electric Orange, B. a Fairy Forest e B. a Yellow Glow e il Layla Magneffect 23 Chocolate Mousse.
Le plate che ho utilizzato sono entrambe MoYou London - Scholar 05 (indice, medio e mignolo) e Gothic 04 (anulare).
Che ne pensate? Non mi resta che augurarvi uno strepitoso autunno!

Besides the base ILNP Copper Top, for my nail art I've used 4 lacquers, 2 plates and a dotter.
The bottles I've used are: Colour Alike B. an Electric Orange, B. a Fairy Forest and B. a Yellow Glow and Layla Magneffect 23 Chocolate Mousse.
Plus, I've used both MoYou London plates - Scholar 05 (for the leaves) and Gothic 04 (for the tree).

Oggi è l'ultimo post di questa challenge *lacrimuccia*. Parliamo di film preferiti.
Guardandomi indietro, ho già postato in passato i miei film/libri preferiti: Il Signore Degli Anelli, Nightmare Before Christmas (anche QUI e QUI), Frozen, Labyrinth, Desperate Housewives...
Allora ho pensato ai miei preferiti. Ho escluso di proposito TUTTI i classici Disney e i film di Natale (The Muppet Christmas Carol mi sembrava fuori stagione) e mi sono messa a pensare... Fantaghirò o qualcos'altro di medievaleggiante-fantasy? Mmm... no
Insomma, pensa che ti ripensa... eccolo! I FLUPPYS!

Today we have the last post of this challenge *sigh*. We talk about favourite movies.
Looking back, I've already posted about my fav movies/books: Lord of the Rings, Nightmare Before Christmas (also HERE and HERE), Frozen, Labyrinth, Desperate Housewives...
So I've thought about my fav ones. I've chosen not to pick Disney classics or Xmas movies (The Muppet Christmas Carol felt so wrong for this season) and I've started thinking... Any medieval-fantasy movie? Mmm... nope.
Well, thinking and thinking again... here it is! FLUPPY DOGS!

I cagnolini magici dai diversi colori mi avevano fatto innamorare follemente di loro, quand'ero piccola.
Ho preso diversi smalti olografici che dessero l'idea della magia e che combaciassero con il colore del pelo dei pelosi e mi sono data alla gradient su una base bianca.
Gli smalti che ho usato sono tutti ILNP: Atomic Sherbet, Cutie Pop, Float On, Funshine Smoothie, Home Sweet Home & Ten Fold.

Those colourful magic dogs made me fall in love with them, when I was a kid.
I've chosen some holographic nail polishes which give the idea of magic and that recall the fur coat colours of those puppies and I've went for a gradient over a white base.
I've used some ILNP lacquers: ILNP: Atomic Sherbet, Cutie Pop, Float On, Funshine Smoothie, Home Sweet Home & Ten Fold.

Beh, cosa ne pensate?

[B&F-F/W16-17] Horror: Nightmare Before Christmas - ILNP Atomic Sherbet

Buona sera, gente!
E rieccoci col secondo appuntamento per la Books&Films Fall/Winter 2016-17 Challenge.
Il tema di oggi è l'Horror... tema a me non propriamente caro.
No, l'horror mi piace ancora meno dei polpettoni romantici.
Per cui a questo tema ho collegato una pellicola non prettamente horror ma stracolma di morti, vampiri, streghe e compagnia bella. Mi riferisco a Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, una dei miei film preferiti sempre, ne conosco a memoria tutto il testo in italiano fin da piccola e quello in inglese l'ho imparato almeno un decennio fa, grazie alla proiezione in loop del dvd.
E' l'unico film di cui abbia acquistato ogni formato: VHR, DVD (non una ma due copie!) e BluRay 3D.
Ma ora basta cianciare, andiamo al protagonista di questo post.

Here we are again with the second Books&Films Fall/Winter 2016-17 Challenge post.
Today's genre is Horror... which I really don't like.
I dislike this genre even more than Romance.
So I link to this theme a not-really-horror movie... still, it has tons of dead characters, vampires, witches and so on. I'm talking about Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, one of my favorite movies ever. I love it so much that I know all the words in it by heart, both in the Italian and in the original versions.
It's the only film of which I have all the format: VHR, (two) DVD(s) and BluRay 3D.
Enough chitchat, let's talk about the subject of the post.

Sì, lui è ILNP (o I Love Nail Polish) Atomic Sherbet, uno smalto arancione olografico appartenente alla collezione autunnale del 2014.
Il nesso? Beh, questo è un arancione zucca. Jack è il re delle zucche. Collegamento perfetto, no?

Yep, this is ILNP (I Love Nail Polish) Atomic Sherbet, an orange holographic nail polish from the 2014 Fall collection.
What's the link from the movie to the lacquer? Well, AS is obviously a pumpkin kind of orange. Jack is "the pumpkin king". Perfect link, isn't it?

Dicevamo... Re delle zucche! Quindi... nail art dedicata alle zucche di Halloween!!!

Oggi qui ci si squaglia al sole... al momento ci sono 35°C (con un indice di calore di 40°C, mica male)!
Quindi sarebbe forse stato meglio una bella boccetta dai toni freddi... e invece no!

Perché oggi condivido con voi il China Glaze Not In This Galaxy, un rosso chiaro con una punta di arancione.
Finish? Olografico, ovviamente!

Because I'm sharing China Glaze Not In This Galaxy, a pale true red with a hint of orange.
What kind of finish? Holographic, obviously!

Che ne dite? Meglio in queste giornate torride o in giornate più fresche?

incominciamo questo freddo (?) dicembre con un colore molto estivo, a mio personalissimo parere.
Il finish? Idem, un bel jelly che più jelly non si può!
Largo al ricordo del caldo sole d'agosto con questo smalto.

L'effetto in foto è dato da 4 mani sottilissime di smalto. L'effetto non mi dispiace, anzi, mi da' proprio l'idea di avere delle unghie edibili, ahah. E comunque, per me jelly = jelly sandwich nail art con dei bei glitterozzi, per cui... ;)

FINISHPEDIA: Flakies - Color Club The Uptown

con imbarazzante ritardo - chiedo scusa alle amiche che partecipano a questo appuntamento - ecco il mio post dedicato alla nostra FinishPedia e al finish per questa settimana: i flakies!
Ma cosa sono i flakies? Sono smalti che presentano scagliette irregolari - spesso cangianti - in una base jelly e, molto spesso, talmente sheer da dover utilizzarli per layering, come per lo smalto che vi mostro qui. Ma ci sono anche smalti flakies non obbligatoriamente da stratificare, come il MI-NY I Love Milano, l'O·P·I Merry Midnight e il Layla Butterfly Effect.

I'm so sorry to be so late... here's my Finishpedia post of the week. Today we have flakies lacquers to show you!
What are flakies lacquers? Well, they have a jelly/sheer base with opalescent particles. They are often to layer, such as what I'm going to share, but sometimes they can be opaque, such as MI-NY I Love Milano, O·P·I Merry Midnight and Layla Butterfly Effect.

Lui è il Color Club The Uptown (versione originale), flakies oro/arancioni/verdi su base viola jelly.
Eccolo in 5 mani sottili senza base colorata.

This is Color Club The Uptown (original version), gold/orange/green flakies in a purple jelly base.
Here it is, 5 very thin coats without base colour.

Ecco invece come appare sopra a delle basi colorate (Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Color Club Where's The Soiree?, O·P·I Do You Vant To Bite My Neck? e O·P·I He Blue It This Time!).

Here it is, over some colored base (Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Color Club Where's The Soiree?, O·P·I Do You Vant To Bite My Neck? and O·P·I He Blue It This Time!)

E, infine, con una passata di top coat matt.

And, last but not least, with a matt top coat.

Lui è stato riformulato in una seconda versione non altrettanto bella e non flakies! Lo sapevate? Guardate QUA.

BirthFlowers: Daffodil - Polish Alcoholic Funshine Bear

Come vola il tempo, siamo già il terzo lunedì del mese.

Il fiore di marzo è il narciso, di cui tutti conosciamo il mito.
Insomma, cercando di festeggiare l'inizio della primavera nei prossimi giorni, quale smalto migliore di un indie olografico?

Time does really fly, we're already on Monday, the third Monday of the month.
And this means... BirthFlowers!
The flower of March is daffodil (common name of narcissus), about which we know the myth.
Trying to celebrate the beginning of Spring on the next few days, what better pick of this holographic indie lacquer?

Lui è il Polish Alcoholic Funshine Bear, un color senape olografico di tipo linear che risplende sotto ogni tipo di luce; qui sotto lo vedete in due passate (una sul mignolo, sopra il Kiko 279 Giallo) due volte sotto il sole, una foto con flash, una foto sotto luci artificiali e una foto all'ombra.

It is Polish Alcoholic Sunshine Bear, a mustard linear holographic lacquer which glares under any kind of illumination; below you can see two coats (one on the little finger nail, over a coat of Kiko 279 Yellow) of it in two sun light photos, a flash photo, a photo with electric lights and in the shades.

Dopo i due precedenti post le cui nail art erano improponibili (ragion per cui la seconda non l'ho mai postata), eccone una decente!
Vi dirò, ricreare questo fiore stilizzato sulle mie unghie (utilizzando il Kiko 280 Arancione) mi è piaciuto proprio, ed è stato pure semplicissimo!

After the previous posts of which nail arts were hideous (and that's why the second of them has never been published), here is a nice one!
Let me say, I really enjoy painting this stylized flower (using Kiko 280 Orange) on my nails and it has been easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy!
