Urban Decay Naked On The Run

Quest'oggi, dopo più di un mese di utilizzo, mi sento pronta di condividere i miei pensieri inerenti alla Naked On The Run, ultima palette dai colori nudi Urban Decay.

After more than a month of use, today I'm ready to share my thoughts about the latest naked palette from Urban Decay, Naked On The Run.

Questa palette in edizione limitata contiene 5 ombretti esclusivi di cui uno in versione XL, una matita e un mascara travel size, un lipgloss full size, una terra, un fard e un maxi specchio. A occhio, sembra quadrata... in realtà, non lo è, dato che misura circa 12,8 x 13,7 x 2,7 cm (5.6 x 5.7 x 1.1 in).

This limited edition palette contains 5 exclusive eyeshadows (one of them in a XL version), travel size eye pencil and mascara, a full size lipgloss, a bronzer, a blush and a wide mirror. It seems to be squared... actually, it is not, its sizes are about 12,8 x 13,7 x 2,7 cm (5.6 x 5.7 x 1.1 in).

Da sinistra verso destra, i nomi degli ombretti sono: Dive, Fix, Resist, Dare, Stun e, quello in basso a destra, 5050.

L-R the eyeshadows names are: Dive, Fix, Resist, Dare, Stun and, on the lower right corner, 5050.

Questa versione travel size del mascara Perversion è un po' un enigma, per me: UD, infatti, non ne vende, rendendo impossibile riempire nuovamente il suo spazio, una volta terminato il prodotto.
Di per sé, trovo il prodotto molto valido, mi sta piacendo davvero tanto, ma tendo a centellinarlo, avendo un altro mascara da esaurire prima. Sicuramente, quando avrò finito il mascara che sto utilizzando in questo momento, proverò ad acquistare la versione full size per confermare se è amore.
Ad ogni modo, giusto perché lo sappiate, questa versione contiene 4 ml (0.13 US fl.oz.) contro i 14g (0.49 US oz.) del full size.

I am not convinced by this Perversion travel size, but just for a reason: UD doesn't sell this size of Perversion and thus, once the travel size will be consumed, you won't be able to refill the palette empty space left from it. But I have to say that I am loving it, once I'll have finished using my usual mascara, I'll surely buy a UD full size to confirm wether it is love or not.
Just to let you know, this version is 4 ml (0.13 US fl.oz.) versus 14 g (0.49 US oz.) of the full size one.

La matita Stag e il gloss Sesso sono entrambe colorazioni nuove, il primo è un marrone scuro con del shimmer marrone mentre il secondo risulta un nudo con shimmer rosato.

Both Stag eye pencil and Sesso lipgloss are new colours, the first one is a deep brown satin and the other one is a rose with pink shimmer.

E arriviamo ai 6 ombretti, da sinistra verso destra:
· Dive (rosa antico scuro metallizzato con micro shimmer dorato);
· Fix (taupe chiaro matt);
· Resist (taupe metallizzato);
· Dare (marroncino chiaro matt);
· Stun (bronzo metallizzato con micro shimmer oro chiaro);
· 5050 (carne charissimo con shimmer rosato).
I primi 5 sono da 1,4 g (0.04 oz) l'uno, mentre 5050 è da 2 g (0.07 oz), un full size Urban Decay pesa normalmente sul grammo e mezzo (0.05 oz).

And now, to the eyeshadows (L-R):
· Dive (metallic rose with golden micro-shimmer);
· Fix (soft taupe matte);
· Resist (medium metallic taupe);
· Dare (medium brown matte);
· Stun (metallic bronze with light gold micro-shimmer);
· 5050 (cool bisque satin).
The first five weigh 1,4 g (0.04 oz) while 5050 is 2 g (0.07 oz). Keep in mind that UD full size weighs about 1,5 g (0.05 oz).

Ultimi ma non meno importanti, il bronzer (bronzo medio matte) e il fard (rosa acceso con shimmer chiari) hanno un peso totale di 8,5 g (0.3 oz).

Last but not least: bronzer (medium bronze matte) and blush (vibrant pink with light shimmer) weigh 8,5 g (0.3 oz).

E ora, le mie considerazioni.
Da quando ce l'ho, sto usando solo lei, quando voglio un trucco leggero per il giorno o uno rapidissimo da costruire. 5050 è leggermente polveroso ma mi piace un sacco, quello che preferisco assieme ai metallizzati. Il bronzer credo lo utilizzerò come ombretto, non ne saprei fare altro uso, con il mio incarnato. Pollicino in su anche per il fard, che va modulato affinché non sia troppo pesante.
Come già detto, adoro il mascara, la matita è davvero bella e AMO il gloss (e io non sono tipo da gloss).
Insomma, questa palette è molto bella e utilizzabile da chiunque ma, contando che è stata pensata come palette da viaggio devo dire che proprio da viaggio non è: io non applico gli ombretti con le dita ma con i pennelli, qui non presenti. In più, pesa una tonnellata e mezza, su per giù. Non proprio una palette da borsetta, insomma (per lo più, non è piccina picciò, come potrete intuire dalle misure a inizio post).
Ormai ci avevano abituati bene con la bustina nella Vice 3... insomma, non credo che a loro costasse molto, io ne avrei inserita una anche qui.

And now, my considerations.
Since when I've had this, I used it A LOT, I use only this palette for an everyday look or one that is super quick to do. 5050 is dusty but I really love it, alongside the metallic ones. I think I won't use the bronzer if not as an eye shadow, my skin tone is quite too fair for it. Thumbs up for the blush, which needs to be worn lightly. As I've already written, I love perversion mascara, the pencil is really beautiful and I LOVE the gloss (and I don't usually wear any kind of gloss).
Basically, this is a beautiful palette anyone can easily use but this was ad as a travel palette. And I wouldn't recommend it for traveling, I don't think this palette is travel-friendly: I don't use my fingers to wear make up and Naked on the Run palette hasn't any brush. Besides it, it weighs a ton, more or less. Not quite a purse palette (and it's small neither, as you can imagine from the sizes at the top of this post).
We have been glad for the bag in Vice 3 palette... so, why didn't they put one here too? I don't think that's expensive, is it?

Urban Decay Vice 3

Signore e signori, ecco a voi... La Vice 3!

After of almost a month of living together, is now time to share the latest palette bought.
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome... Vice 3!

Sulla palette c'è scritto ovunque semplicemente "Vice" ma noi sappiamo essere la "3" (anche perché così viene riportata sul sito Urban Decay), identica alle sue sorelle maggiori ma spessa la metà e senza la comoda apertura "automatizzata" della Vice 2.

On the palette there is written just "Vice" but we know it's the third (also because on Urban Decay website it is called "Vice 3"), with the same-shaped packaging of its older siblings but slimmer and without the useful "automatic" opening system from Vice 2.

I 20 ombretti (0.8g l'uno) dalla texture vellutata sono esclusivi di questa palette - per ora - e sono stati divisi per colonne: neutri a sinistra, toni gioiello al centro e smoky a destra.
Oltre al pennello doppio (non è malvagio) e al solito maxi specchio, questa volta la palette arriva con una pochettina comodissima da tenere in borsa con tutto il necessario per il trucco o, beh, come semplice bustina.
Ma passiamo agli ombretti (in foto vedrete swatch al sole-ombretti nella palette-swatch all'ombra):
Truth - nudo chiarissimo con shimmer rosa;
Dragon - verde prato;
Vampy - melanzana leggermente shimmer;
Alien - duocrhome rosa/pesca;
Last Sin - bronzo chiaro shimmer (leggermente più scuro/caldo del permanente "Sin").

The 20 .03 oz velvety, never-before-seen shades are arranged in columns: neutrals on the left, jewel tones in the middle and smoky shades on the right.
Beside the double-ended-brush (not that bad) and the huge mirror, this time no primer at all bit you find a zipped bag in which you can put the palette or your make up.
But let's see the shades (you're going to see swatch in the sun-palette-swatch in the shades):
Truth - pale pink-nude matte;
Dragon - bright metallic green shimmer;
Vanity - smoky metallic eggplant w/ multidimensional micro-glitter;
Alien - pink-peach w/ golden shift;
Last Sin - champagne shimmer w/ silver micro-glitter (slightly darker/warmer than permanent "Sin").

Undone - taupe rosato shimmer;
Freeze - azzurro cielo metallizzato;
Lucky - rame metallizzato (pigmentatissimo);
Alchemy - rosso scuro (non è dupe di Last Call in quanto più chiaro e intenso);
Angel - mix bronzo/oro con glitterini.

Undone - pink-beige matte-satin w/ subtle floating tonal pearl;
Freeze - metallic medium blue w/ multidimensional micro-glitter;
Lucky - metallic bronze (very high pigmentation);
Alchemy - deep fuchsia satin (not dupe of Last Call since Alchemy it's lighter and more intense);
Angel - light taupe w/ silver micro-glitter.

Downfall - nudo medio matte;
Heroine - blu navy con shimmer blu (il meno pigmentato della palette);
Reign - marrone metallizzato;
Bondage - melanzana scuro;
Defy - grigio medio con una punta di lilla matte.

Downfall - warm light brown matte;
Heroine - deep navy blue w/ subtle floating tonal pearl (worst pigmentation in the palette);
Reign - rich brown satin;
Bondage - deep, smoky burgundy shimmer;
Defy - smoky taupe satin.

DTF - taupe con un tocco di viola shimmer;
Brokedown - bronzo metallizzato;
Bobby Dazzle - bianco freddo shimmer;
Sonic - rosso rame metallizzato;
Revolver - grigio canna di fucile con una punta di blu.

DTF - taupe matte w/ subtle floating pearl;
Brokedown - metallic golden brown shimmer w/ gold micro-glitter;
Bobby Dazzle - metallic white w/ pale gold micro-glitter;
Sonic - metallic red-copper;
Revolver - soft black satin w/ subtle floating iridescent pearl.

Tutti gli ombretti hanno una pigmentazione molto alta con un paio di eccezioni (Heroine e Bobby Dazzle). Personalmente, l'avrei bilanciata differentemente, magari inserendo un teal simile a Deep End, un viola intenso come Flash e magari un altro tipo di verde.
Ma, tutto sommato, ha colori perfetti sia per la primavera che per le stagioni fredde.
Ad ogni modo, non posso che consigliarla, se vi piace, io mi ci sto trovando bene (nonostante i vari toni sul rosso). Ovviamente, Freeze è il mio ombretto preferito, ma mi piace molto anche la colonna a destra.
Infine, vi ricordo che è in edizione limitata!
Fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate, che combinazioni usereste, i vostri ombretti preferiti, se ce l'avete o ve la farete regalare magari per Natale ;)

All these shades are highly pigmentated with a couple of "black sheep" (Heroine and Bobby Dazzle).
Personally, I would have balanced the shades in a different way, like adding a teal like Deep End, an intense purple like Flash and maybe another kind of green.
But, after all, the whole combination of shades makes this palette perfect for both spring and cold seasons.
If you like it, I would recommend to buy it because I am really liking it (too much red, though).
Obviously, my favourite shade is Freeze but I like the right column too.
Last but not least, I have to remember that is a limited edition!

Urban Decay Pulp Fiction palette

Come vi avevo anticipato qualche giorno fa, ecco, direttamente dagli States, una delle più recenti palette Urban Decay, la Pulp Fiction.

As I told you some days ago, here's my Urban Decay Pulp Fiction palette brought me from the States by a friend!

La palette, piuttosto, piccina, contiene quattro cialde con cinque ombretti differenti ed esclusivi e un mini pennellino doppio, oltre che ad un ampio specchio e al cartoncino per ricreare il look. La palette è in cartone resistente con la chiusura magnetica.
I colori sono: Righteous (beige chiaro mat), Tyranny (cioccolato mat), Vengeance (marrone talpa scuro, effetto mat satinato), Anger (nero satinato con leggeri riflessi tono su tono).
(NOTA: i colori li ho copiati dal sito sephora.it e Vengeance lo definirei come un color biscotto)
Ma eccoli swatchati:

This tiny palette has three pots with 5 exclusive shades and a mini double-ended brush, besides a big mirror and the tutorial for the look. The palette is made with hard cardboard and has a magnetic closing system.
The shades in it are: Righteous (light cream matte), Tyranny (warm brown matte), Vengeance (deep taupe-brown matte-satin), Furious (white satin) and Anger (black satin w/slight tonal sparkle).

Sinceramente, avrei osato con dei colori più forti e... diversi. Tipo un bel rosso tipo le labbra ecc ecc.
A mio modesto parere, non è una palette indispensabile, nonostante l'ottima qualità degli ombretti.
Ad ogni modo, l'ho adorata accanto ai miei occhi grigi.
E voi, cosa ne pensate?

Honestly, I would have chosen different and stronger shades such as a bright bloody red like the lips and so on.
IMHO, this is not much needed palette, but the quality is great.
And BTW, I love it with my grey eyes.
But what do YOU think?

Urban Decay Electric palette

But since I'm procrastinating this post in a month, here it is!

Già, come avrete intuito anche dal titolo, oggi vi mostro la mia palette Urban Decay Electric, la più adatta a me delle varie palette permanenti.
La scatola con un esplosione di colori contiene la palette con un maxi specchio, i suoi 10 pigmenti pressati e un pennello doppio sintetico adatto ai pigmenti. Già, nessun tipo di travel size che accompagni questa palette, purtroppo! Speravo in un bel Super Saturated... ma niente!

Yeah, as you might have understood from the title, today I'm showing you the Urban Decay Electric palette, my favourite among the UD permanent palettes.
The colorful box contains the palette with a super wide mirror, the 10 pressed pigment eye shadows and a synthetic double ended brush. Yup, no travel size extra here. I was hoping for a lovely Super Saturated but... no.

I colori sono decisamente più neon dal vivo rispetto a quest'ultima foto... ma non temete!
I seguenti swatch sono accurati ;)
Ecco i primi 5 ombretti, quella della fila superiore:
Revolt (argento con glitter argentati - originariamente nella Anarchy Face Palette), Gonzo (celeste intenso con shimmer azzurro), Slowburn (rosso aranciato con shimmer dello stesso colore), Savage (fuschia neon matte), e Fringe (teal metallizzato).

The colours are much brighter in real life than on the latest photo... but worry you not!
The following photos are colour-accurated ;)
Here the first row:
Revolt (bright metallic silver shimmer w/silver glitter, from the Anarchy Face Palette), Gonzo (bright turquoise matte w/ floating tonal pearl), Slowburn (bright red-orange matte w/floating pearl), Savage (bright hot pink matte) and Fringe (bright metallic teal).

La seconda riga è composta da:
Chaos (blu matte con shimmer - originariamente nella Vice Palette), Jilted (fuchsia con riflesso blu), Urban (viola Urban Decay), Freak (verde chiaro intenso) e Thrash (color pallina da tennis).
Slowburn, Savage, Jilted e Urban sono sconsigliati per l'utilizzo del contorno occhi (in USA, Canada e Brasile) a causa di coloranti che potrebbero provocare reazione.

The second row is made from:
Chaos (bright blue matte w/floating tonal pearl, from the Vice Palette), Jilted (bright metallic fuchsia w/blue shift), Urban (bright metallic purple), Freak (bright green w/gold shift) and Thrash (bright lime green matte w/floating gold pearl). (WARNING: Slowburn, Savage, Jilted and Urban contain a colorant that is not approved for the eye area in the US, Canada and Brazil.)

Tutti i pigmenti in questa palette sono follemente pigmentati, tanto che alcuni macchiano la palpebra anche sopra una base. Il mio preferito in assoluto è Gonzo, seguito da Freak (quello che per ora ho usato maggiormente) e Fringe. Sulle labbra ho provato Jilted ed è davvero strepitoso!
L'unico che avrei eliminato per rimpiazzarlo con qualcosa di migliore è Revolt, ombretto dalla scarsa pigmentazione e dall'incredibile fall-out (avrei riproposto, piuttosto, la versione argentata di Oz).
Infine, per quanto riguarda il pennello, è perfetto. Davvero.
Ho provato a utilizzare altri pennelli per l'applicazione di questi ombretti ma non è stata un'idea molto felice.
Ma ora è il vostro turno, quali sono i vostri ombretti preferiti?

All the eye shadows are so insanely pigmented, some of them stains the eye lid too.
My all time fav is Gonzo, then Freak (the one I've used most as today's), and Fringe. On the lips I've worn Jilted and it is amazing!
The only eye shadow which I would have changed is Revolt, which is not so highly pigmented and suffers from major fall-out (I would have put the silver half of Oz in it).
Last but not least, the brush. It is perfection. Honest!
I've tried to use other brushes but that wasn't a brilliant idea.
But now's your turn!

Today I have a 2010 Givenchy limited edition eye shadow.

Lui è Le Prisme Yeux – Island Camaïeu Edition Limitée 17 Island Lagoon, Island Lagoon per gli amici. È un ombretto mono da 3,4 g con effetto “variegato” nelle tonalità che piacciono a me: azzurro, teal e blu. La chiusura è magnetica, quindi non ha problemi di aprirsi da solo (tipo in borsa). Ecco lo swatch rapido rapido fatto senza primer e utilizzando l’applicatore in spugna presente nella confezione.
Da sinistra verso destra: i tre colori insieme, blu, teal e azzurro.

This is Le Prisme Yeux – Island Camaïeu Edition Limitée 17 Island Lagoon, Island Lagoon for friends. It is a 3,4 g mono eye shadow with a marbled effect with three colours which I love: light blu, teal and dark blue. It has a magnetic closure, so it don’t open in the purse. Here’s the swatch, without primer and using the sponge applicator.

In realtà, con una base ha una resa davvero buona. Io lo adoro, se ne trovassi uno in profumeria lo porterei sicuramente a casa!

IRL, with a primer it is really a good shadow. I really love it, if I was able to find a new one in a store, I would buy ita gain!

Finalmente, dopo averla posposta di volta in volta, in ritardo di 3 mesi, ecco la mia review sulla Naked 3.
Sì, sicuramente la conoscete tutti, la palette dai colori "nudi" rosati, ultima palette nata nel ramo "naked" della famiglia Urban Decay.
Da quando me la sono regalata la uso quotidianamente (almeno Strange, ormai, è onnipresente).

Finally, after 3 months of procrastination, here's my Naked 3 review.
Yup, you'll surely know the pink naked palette, latest palette born in the "naked" branch of Urban Decay's family tree.
Since when I've bought it as my Christmas present, I'm using it daily (at least Strange is omnipresent).

Come potete vedere, la palette ha 12 ombretti, un doppio pennello e 4 tester in versione maxi dei primer potion (secondo loro, ogni tester contiene un quantitativo per una settimana).
Personalmente, rimpiango i vecchi travel size di primer potion dai packaging carinissimi. Ho quei gloss adorabili alla menta!
In tutta onestà, trovo che il packaging della palette sia, chiuso, semplicemente orrendo.
Era molto più bella la seconda versione, a mio avviso ancora la più bellina.
In compenso, anche per i miei colori, trovo che questa sia la palette perfetta.

As you can see, the palette has 12 eye shadows, a double-ended brush and 4 pads of primer potion (they say that each pads is worth a week).
IMHO, I am missing the old primer potion travel sizes (and their cutie packaging). Or that lovely mint lip gloss!
Honestly, I think that this palette packaging is just... hideous.
It was way better the second version, IMHO the best as today.
But, this palette, once open, is just perfect (and thank God it suits perfectly my skin tone and eye/hair colours).

Ok, let's see the shadows...

Strange: rosa neutro molto chiaro matte (il mio naked perfetto);
Dust: rosa chiaro shimmer con micro glitter argentati;
Burnout: rosa chiaro con un leggero tono color pesca satinato.

Strange: pale neutral pink matte-satin;
Dust: pale metallic pink shimmer with iridescent micro-glitters;
Burnout: light pinky-peach satin.

Limit: rosato polveroso chiaro matte;
Buzz: rosa scuro shimmer con micro glitter argentati;
Trick: rame rosa shimmer con shimmerii tono su tono.

Limit: light dusty rose matte;
Buzz: metallic rose shimmer with silver micro-glitter;
Trick: light metallic pinky-copper shimmer with tonal micro-sparkle.

Nooner: rosa neutro scuro matte;
Liar: oro rosa metallico shimmer;
Factory: marrone-rosato satin.

Nooner: medium pinky-brown matte;
Liar: medium metallic mauve shimmer;
Factory: pinky-brown satin.

Mugshot: taupe metallizzato shimmer con un riflesso rosato;
Darkside: marrone-taupe satinato con una punta di rosa;
Blackheart: nero chiaro a base ros(s)a con glitterini rosa scuri.

Mugshot: metallic taupe shimmer with slight pink shift;

Blackheart: smoky black matte with rosy red micro-sparkle.

Mentre fra la prima e la seconda ero sempre indecisa fra quale mi piacesse di più, ora non ho dubbi: se dovessi tornare indietro e fossi obbligata a portarne a casa solo una, opterei per la terza.
Nonostante inizialmente il pennello non mi piacesse nulla, lo sto iniziando ad apprezzare... magari sboccerà un amore?
Ad ogni modo, boccio i glitterati, soprattutto Dust (di nome e di fatto, a causa della composizione) e Buzz. Peccato, perché sono due sfumature davvero interessanti.
I miei preferiti? Assolutamente Strange, Burnout, Trick, Liar, Mugshot e Factory (in quest'ordine).

Avete ceduto alla Naked3? Alla 2? Alla prima? Alla piccola Basics? A tutte e quattro?

When I had the previous two nakeds, I wasn't sure which one was my favorite one but now I have no doubts: if I had to go back and choose only one among these palettes, I would buy the third one.
I wasn't sure about the double-ended brush but now I am really enjoining it... maybe it will be love?
I have something else, though. I fail Dust (nomen omen) and Buzz. Sadly, because I am really into those shades, but the glitters are just awful, they make the eye shadows... fail.
My favorite ones? Strange, Burnout, Trick, Liar, Mugshot and Factory (this order).
