incominciamo questo freddo (?) dicembre con un colore molto estivo, a mio personalissimo parere.
Il finish? Idem, un bel jelly che più jelly non si può!
Largo al ricordo del caldo sole d'agosto con questo smalto.

Lui è il MI-NY Jelly Bears 1 Grapefruit, rosso aranciato dall'effetto gelatina.
Trovo delizioso il logo dedicato, non credete?

L'effetto in foto è dato da 4 mani sottilissime di smalto. L'effetto non mi dispiace, anzi, mi da' proprio l'idea di avere delle unghie edibili, ahah. E comunque, per me jelly = jelly sandwich nail art con dei bei glitterozzi, per cui... ;)

Yes, I’ve already planned almost every post for this month.
And today I want to re-start with an Italian beauty.

Come immaginabile dal titolo, sto parlando del MI-NY 1 Avenue Montaigne, uno smalto cromato di color argento per niente male.

As you might have guessed, I am talking about MI-NY 1 Avenue Montaigne, a silver chrome nail polish.

E' un one coater perfetto per lo stamping (già testato e *Ky* approvato), nelle mie foto lo vedete in due passate. Niente base nelle mie foto, per cui ovviamente potete notare diversi difetti della mia superficie ungueale, nulla che un buon base coat ridge filler non possa far evitare di mostrare.

This is a perfect for stamping (tested and *Ky*-approved) one coater lacquer and in my previous photos you can see it within two coats. No base coat for my pics so you can see my ridges - obviously - nothing that a good ridge filler base coat can't avoid to show.

MI-NY TOP 5 - 1 Top Blue

Oggi voglio introdurre una sorta di appuntamento fisso per questo Agosto 2014.
Ogni domenica vi proporrò uno degli smalti MI-NY Top5, sorta di Sheer Tints nostrani, pensati per creare un effetto ombre con il minimo sforzo.

Today I want to start a new series of post for this August 2014.
Every Sunday I will share with you one of the MI-NY Top 5 lacquers, sort of italian Sheer Tints, thought to create ombre manicures without owning lots of lacquers.

L'idea è: metti la base (nelle foto sotto, Giotto), poi metti da una passata (pollice, non fotografato) a cinque (mignolo) di top coat Top 5 et voilà, manicure fatta!
L'unica cosa è, mi raccomando, aspettate che sia asciutto PERFETTAMENTE prima di dare una nuova passata o vi si creeranno buchi, come è successo a me :(

The idea is: use a base colour (Giotto, below) then use one (thumb, not in photos), to five (pinky) coats of Top 5 and voilà, manicure done!
The only important thing is to wait for it until is PERFECTLY dry before the other coats, unless you want holes like mine below :(

Un'altra opzione è cercare di creare una gradient... A me ricorda la bruma (sotto, su Sinful Colors Snow Me White)!

Another option can be gradient manicure... it reminds me of mist (below, over Sinful Colors Snow Me White)!

La consistenza dello smalto è piuttosto liquida, come se fosse acquosa e l'asciugatura non è iper rapida.
Fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate!

The topper is watery like and drying time is not super quick.

Così, in una giornata nuvolosa, ho tirato fuori dai cassetti questo piccolo gioiellino: il MI-NY 1 Silver della linea Holographic Touch, linea olografica linear dall'effetto sparaflashato.
Ecco le foto col sole nascosto dietro le nuvole. Attenzione agli occhi, l'ultima foto è stata scattata con il flash attivo.

So, on a cloudy day, I've open the drawer and find this little gem: MI-NY Holographic Touch 1 Silver, a linear holographic lacquer with super woah effect.
The photos below were shot while the sun was hiding behind clouds. Beware of the last photo: it was shot with flash on.

E' piuttosto liquido con un effetto potentissimo ma bisogna prestare attenzione nell'applicazione, perché ripassando su un punto ancora fresco si rischia di portarsi via la parte sottostante, creando buchi. Ma guardate, io sono riuscita a stenderlo senza problemi e non sono certo un genio ;)
L'effetto è a livello del Mercury Twilight, ma il prezzo è decisamente inferiore (10mL per 11,90€ contro gli 11mL per 5,90€ di MI-NY).
Insomma, non si è ancora capito? Lo adoro.

It is very liquid with a very intense effect but be careful when applying because if you go over a wet layer you would remove that lower layer, creating holes. But hey, look! I did it without holes and I'm not a genius ;)
The linear effect is similar to Mercury Twilight but the price is much more yummy (10mL for 11,90€ for MT and 11mL for 5,90€ with MI-NY).
So, understood? Loving it.

So, welcome to this matte weekly post.
Today, though, is a special day.
Valentine's day? Nope!!!
Today I have my last session exam and, if I passed it, I would have just one last exam to pass! Yeeee *happydance*

Come intuirete dalla foto, ho optato per il Karaja Nail Mat Quick Dry n. 1 (ne esiste anche una versione rossa, n.2), un nero suede con glitter argentati.
Parliamo un attimo del nome e del dettaglio "Quick Dry". Avete mai trovato matte lenti ad asciugarsi???
Boh, da copione, l'asciugatura è rapida, facile da stendere, durata pessima.
La cosa pazzesca, secondo me, è il prezzo, che vedete nella foto sopra. OK, io ho pagato il cartellino con uno zero di meno. Yes, 1€, il prezzo giusto!

As you might understand from the photo above, I've chosen Karaja Nail Mat Quick Dry n.1 (I know there is a red version too, n.2), a black suede lacquer with silver glitters.
Let's just say a thing about the name and about "Quick Dry". Have you ever tried a slow dry matte???
Boh, it is, yes, quick dry, easy to applicate and with a hideous lasting time.
The crazy time is the price which you can see above. But I am mentally sane and I've paid the right amount of time for it: 1€.

Vabbè, dai, concediamogli il fatto che sia carino!
Ma visto che oggi è, sì, anche il giorno degli innamorati, la nostra poliglotta preferita, Natalia, ha optato, appunto, per San Valentino come tema di oggi.
E chi sono io per non dare la mia misera parte in merito? Me la sono cavata con un cuore stampato sull'anulare.

OK, come on, it's cute!
But today is love day, isn't it?
And our favorite polyglot Natalia has chosen "Valentine's Day" as theme for today.
And I did my tiny useless part by stamping an heart on the ring finger nail.

Lo smalto utilizzato per lo stamping è quello "grabbato" in foto, un pupa chrome qualcosa.
