E io ho optato per il Kiko 453 Ciliegia per rappresentarlo.

January flower is carnation.
And I've chosen Kiko 453 Cherry Red for this post.

In più, ho improvvisato una nail art EPIC FAIL!
Ma la condivido "giusto per"...

And I have a huge EPIC FAIL, my sort of nail art.
But here it is, anyway...

Avrei desiderato riuscire a creare qualcosa di più decente, ma ci riproverò il mese prossimo, intanto vi lascio con i post delle colleghe, qui sotto!

Kiko Sugar Mat 451 Apricot

Oggi vi mostro il primo degli 8 sugar mat presenti nel cofanetto Kiko in edizione limitata in commercio durante la stagione precedente.

Good evening!
Today I'm going to show you the first out of 8 lacquers out of the Kiko sugar mat box (winter 2013 Limited Edition).

Lui è il numero 451 Apricot, un rosa pallido/albicocca con shimmer rosa; ovviamente, il finish è sabbiato.
Purtroppo, è piuttosto sheer (3 mani nelle foto e si nota il margine distale dell'unghia).

This is number 451 Apricot, a pale pinky peach with pink shimmer; clearly, it has a sand finish.
Sadly, it's quite sheer (3 coats in the photos).

Ha un pennello leggermente più grosso dei classici Kiko ma, avendone mantenuta la forma (quindi niente zampacce di gatto), l'applicazione risulta semplicissima. La qualità di questa serie di sugar mat mi è personalmente piaciuta meno della versione precedente (estate 2013) e con ciò mi riferisco in particolare alla durata, non a livello con la prima serie - almeno su di me.
Rimane un colore molto carino, ho davvero apprezzato questo set in toto.
E voi, avete ceduto?

It has a wider brush than normal Kikos but, since it has the same shape (no wide rounded brush, here), the application is super easy and smooth. This set's quality is not the same as the previous sugar mat (summer 2013), at least for the longevity of its lacquers on me.
But I think the shade is cute and I've liked all the lacquers in this set.

Welcome to a new Discontinued Day post!
For today's post I've chosen something... thoughtful.

Lui è il Kiko 643 Verde Primavera, facente parte della collezione di Sugar Mat ad effetto sabbiato/textured/sand/pixiedust/ecc della passata estate.
Questo smalto è esaltato dai micro glitterini dorati che lo fanno risplendere in qualsiasi condizione di luce.

This is Kiko 643 Spring Green, from the Sugar Mat L.E. for Summer 2k13 with the sand/textured/pixiedust/etc finish.
This lacquer is enhanced with gold micro glitters which make the lacquer glows with every kind of light.

La cosa positiva dei Sugar Mat è che non sono fastidiosi da togliere, non troppo per lo meno (sì, Liberty, mi riferisco proprio a te).
E ora, arriviamo alla parte "ragionata" del post.
Visto il successo della collezione estiva (presumo), Kiko ha proposto un set di 8 smalti Sugar Mat, numerati dal 451 al 458, in una speciale confezione regalo a libro.
OK, io non ho resistito, complice anche il post di prime impressioni di Cristina.

The pro about Sugar Mats is that they are not too hard to remove (yup, Liberty, I'm talking with you).
And now, the "thoughtful" part of the post.
After the success of latest summer (I guess), Kiko has just released a set of 8 Sugar Mat lacquers, from 451 to 458, in a special book-like-gift box.
So, I simply couldn't resist, especially after Cristina's first impressions post.

Sì, la box è proprio questa.

Here I have for you another Kiko's Sugar Mat nail lacquer!

644 Blu Mare, un blu piuttosto invernale, secondo me, dall'effetto sabbiato.

644 Sea Blue is, IMHO, a nice blue perfect for winter. Sand effect, clearly.

Qui sotto, da sinistra verso destra, lo trovate:
• 2 mani più glossy top coat;
• 2 mani;
• 2 mani più matte top coat.
La terza foto è sotto luci artificiali.

In the following pictures you find, L-R:
• 2 coats + glossy top coat;
• 2 coats;
• 2 coats + matte top coat.
The third picture was shot under artificial lights.

Beh, vi ricorda qualcosa?

Kiko Sugar Mat nail lacquer 640 - Rosso Papavero + mini haul

Oggi ho un nuovo smalto ad effetto sabbiato, effetto che questa estate regna sovrano!
…per lo meno, sulle mie unghie (e sulla mia scrivania!).

Today I have for you another sand effect nail polish, effect that this summer is ruling!
…on my nails (and on my desk), at least!

Kiko Sugar Mat 640 Rosso Papavero, un rosso (papavero) stupendo con mini brillantini dorati.
Chiaramente, asciuga con effetto sabbiato (chiamato PixieDust da Zoya, texture da China Glaze e Milani, Sand da O•P•I e via dicendo) quindi niente top coat!

Kiko Sugar Mat 640 Rosso Papavero (Poppy Red), an amazing (poppy) red with gilded microglitters.
Clearly, it dries revealing a sand effect (called PixieDust by Zoya, texture by China Glaze and Milani, Sand by O•P•I and so on), so no top coat!

In ombra mantiene una brillantezza non indifferente:

Infine, come anticipato dal titolo, ecco un mini haul ma, prima, una mini premessa.
Sono in no-spending months smaltistici, l'unica eccezione potrebbero essere super offertone o cosine della serie "o ora o mai più". MA (sì, tutto maiuscolo) quando faccio un esame che va bene/benissimo ho un desiderio immane di appagarmi con l'acquisto smaltaro liberatorio.
Ecco, ieri ho unito le due cose e mi sono portata a casa il seguente bottino-ino-ino-oh:

Last but not least, as the title says, here's a mini haul.
You have to know that I am in my no-spending months (for nail polishes). I want to buy only things that I would never ever seen them again (like Limited Editions) or big sales. BUT (yes, caps lock) when I do university exams and they go particularly well, I want to threat myself with nail polishes.
Yesterday I killed two birds with one stone and I brought home these little cuties:

Kiko: Sugar Mar 642, Sun Pearl 429, Sun Pearl 428, Celebration 424;
Catrice Candy Shock L.E. C02 Play It Blue;
La collezione Me & My Ice Cream di Essence;
H&M: Blue, Je T'aime, Samba, Purple Mist, Jungle Me, Shanghai Nights (presi due, è troppo bello e, per 1€, non potevo lasciare lì l'ultimo!).
Chiaramente mi sono dimenticata di inserire in foto l'affare del secolo, due mini smalti glitter... turchi!

Clearly I've forgotten to put in this latest picture the century bargain, two glitter mini nail polishes... from Turkey!

Golden Rose numeri 58 e 59, pagati uno 0,10€ e l'altro 0,50€ ahah.
C'è qualcosa che vorreste vedere ad agosto?
