Come per tutto il 2014, il terzo lunedì del mese siamo qui riunite per mostrarvi qualcosa di ispirato alla gemma del mese.
Marzo è coperto dall'Acquamarina.
E io ho optato per un bell'azzurro italiano (ma prodotto in Francia, mannaggia!).

As for the whole 2014, on the 3st post of the month, here's this month's Birthstone post.
March has Aquamarine.
And I've chosen for this pretty italian light blue lacquer (made in France, though!).

Wjcon 138, questo colore stupendo presenta, in boccetta, un riflesso rosa che scompare una volta applicato sulle unghie.

Wjcon 138. In the bottle you might see that pretty pink glare which is invisible once the lacquer is on the nails.

Ok, nelle immagini vedete 3 passate, come potete notare è abbastanza sheer.

Giardino d'Inverno - Recap Post

Finora, non ho mai fatto post di ricapitolazione ma quest'oggi mi andava proprio.
Sì, ieri è terminata la serie di appuntamenti Giardino d'Inverno e, avendo creato "nail art" in ogni post ho pensato che fosse carino dare loro un'ultima occhiata in un unico post.
Nel primo appuntamento, il cui tema era "inverno", ho presentato il Sinful Color 940 Matte Rise And Shine e vi ho stampato sopra dei fiocchi di neve col suo fratello Savage.

Until today I've never written a re-cap post but I really wanted to, today.
Yesterday, as you might know, ended the appointment Giardino d'Inverno, in which I've always created "nail arts"... so I think it's nice to take a last gaze at what I've created over the last couple of months.
In the first post, which had "winter" as theme, I've showed Sinful Color 940 Matte Rise And Shine and I've stamped over it some snowflakes using its brother Savage.

Il secondo appuntamento, "tecnica nail art", ha permesso di mostrarvi il set per la Chalkboard Manicure di Ciaté.

The second post was about "nail art techniques" and that let me show you Ciaté Chalkboard Manicure Set.

Il terzo appuntamento mi ha leggermente spiazzata a causa del tema, "sport". Ma, dopo aver mostrato il Color Club 854 Where's The Soiree?, sono riuscita a intavolare una nail art dedicata al bowling.

I've found the third post a bit tricky because the theme was "sport". But, after some swatches of Color Club 854 Where's The Soiree?, I've created a bowling nail art.

Il quarto appuntamento prendeva il tema direttamente dalla serie di post, ovvero "giardino d'inverno" e ho ricreato... un giardino d'inverno, od orangerie che si preferisca.

The fourth post was about Orangerie (a.k.a. Giardino d'Inverno in italian).
And that mean... an orangerie over nails!

Per il quinto appuntamento il tema deciso era "Klimt", pittore che non amo particolarmente. Ma, cercando di ispirarmi al suo Albero Della Vita, ho ricreato ciò che vedete nella foto seguente.

The fifth post was about "Klimt", a not-near-to-my-heart painter. But, inspired by his Tree Of Life, I've created what you can see below.

Il sesto appuntamento cadeva il 14 febbraio e, ovviamente, il tema era "san Valentino".
Io ho optato per qualcosa di semplice e banale, il mostrare uno smalto, Karaja Nail Mat Quick Dry n.1, su cui ho stampato un cuore con un rosso cromato della Pupa, sull'anulare.

The sixth post was on 14th Feb. so, clearly, the theme was "Valentine Day".
I've chosen to show swatches of Karaja Nail Mat Quick Dry n.1 and a little heart stamped on the ring finger nail using a red chrome lacquered from Pupa.

Il settimo appuntamento mi ha permesso di mostrare una delle nail art che mi siano piaciute di più fatte da me, grazie al tema "motivi geometrici".

The seventh post let me show you one of my fav nail art ever by me thanks to the "geometric motifs" theme.

All'ottavo appuntamento, la mia pazienza ha dato il meglio di se' con una nail art dedicata al carnevale, dato che il tema recitava "carnevale/dolci".

The eight post I've followed the theme, "carnival/sweets", literally.
To recreate that my patience was huuuge.

Il nono appuntamento mi ha permesso di mostrarvi la mia nail art preferita, creata seguendo il tema "libro preferito". In pieno Signore degli Anelli, rieccola qui!

The ninth post let me showed my fav nail art ever, thanks to "favourite book" theme. Here it is, my Lord of the Rings nail art!

Il decimo appuntamento, purtroppo l'ultimo di questa magica saga, portava con se' "tema floreale".
Beh, avendola postata ieri non ho niente da aggiungere, ma rieccola.

The tenth post, sadly the last one, had "floral theme".
Well, I don't have further infos to add, having posted it just yesterday. But here it is.

Giardino d'Inverno #10 [Floral Theme] - Flowers Glitter Nail Art Over Suede

Benvenuti al consueto post del venerdì. Quello di quest'oggi segna la conclusione degli appuntamenti dedicati a smalti textured, matte, satin, suede. Ma il nostro cammino assieme non si conclude qua, dalla prossima settimana ci aspetta un nuovo appuntamento fisso, sempre il venerdì, con le solite note. Ringrazio ancora tutte le ragazze di quest'appuntamento e voi che ci avete seguite.
Ma non è già finito, prima devo mostrarvi cosa ho creato per oggi...

Welcome to this Friday post. Today's is the last one for textured, matte, satin and suede lacquers. But our journey isn't over, next Friday you'll find out more. Thanks to my lovely buddies and thank YOU for being here.
But let's see what I've done...
First thing first, Silvia's chosen "floral theme".

Ho ritirato fuori il mio matte suede preferito (Deborah Sense Tech 100% Mat 10), il mio glitter O·P·I preferito (Pirouette My Whistle), più un altro glitter (You Glitter Be Good To Me) e il Kiko 279 Giallo.
La mia idea era semplice e lineare: base matte, glitter raccolti con un dotter a creare i petali, a lato dell'unghia, e il giallo per ricreare il pistillo.
OK, sappiate che è abbastanza lungo e noioso come procedimento, il tirar fuori i glitter uno a uno.
Sinceramente? Mi piace il risultato, secondo me ne vale la pena.

I've chosen to use my favorite suede lacquer (Deborah Sense Tech 100% Mat 10), my favourite O·P·I glitter lacquer (Pirouette My Whistle), another O·P·I glitter (You Glitter Be Good To Me) and Kiko 279 Giallo. 
The idea was plain and simple: matte base, glitters used as petals thanks to a dotting tool plus a yellow for stamina.
Well, you have to know that this was long and boring.
To be honest I really like the result, it was worth it.

Che ne dite, può esser considerata una chiusura in bellezza?

MI-NY Sugar Chic 04 Candy Jupiter + Comparison

In ritardo di un po' di giorni rispetto a quanto avevo preventivato, rieccomiii.
E' circa un mese che non vi mostro uno dei miei tanti amati textured.
E' tempo di tirarne fuori uno, no?

I'm a bit late with this post than how I've planned but... here I am!
It's almost a month since last time I've showed one of my beloved textured.
It's time to show another one, isn't it?

Lui è il Mi-ny Sugar Chic numero 04, alias Candy Jupiter.
Il colore è un teal chiaro, secondo me il colore più vicino è il 33999, il cui colore web safe più vicino è, appunto, il teal. Candy Jupiter ha un finish ruvido e, particolarità non comune a tutti gli smalti di questo finish, presenta glitterozzi tono su tono.

This is Mi-ny Sugar Chic number 04, a.k.a. Candy Jupiter.
This is some sort of light teal, IMHO the most look-alike colour is 33999 which has as closest web safe colour "teal". Candy Jupiter has a rough finish and those great shiny glitter of the same shade in it.

Il primo smalto che mi è venuto in mente da comparare è l'O·P·I Tiffany Case ma, fin dalla boccetta, si può notare quanto sia diverso dal punto di vista del colore (nonostante le componenti glitter siano precise).
Ecco, nella foto successiva trovate l'O·P·I sull'anulare e il Mi-ny sulle altre unghie.

The first comparison lacquer which I've thought to is O·P·I Tiffany Case but after the first gaze of the bottle I've noticed that they are way different, no dupe at all, here.
On the photo below you have Tiffany Case on the ring finger nail and Candy Jupiter on the others.

Asciugatura piuttosto rapida, abbastanza tipica di questo finish, stesura impeccabile e buona durata (anche se consiglio di limare gli eccessi di "sabbia" sulle punte, per comodità).
Insomma, promosso anche lui.
Che ne pensate?

Quick dry, as in line with this kind of finish, smooth application and good lasting (but my advice is to file the "sand" excess on the tips for comfort).
So, yes, this is a win-win bottle.

8th March - International Women Day - O·P·I Oy-Another Polish Joke! (NL E78)

Buonasera!
Oggi è una giornata speciale, sì, è l'8 marzo.
Ma questo post, che prende vita in seguito alla proposta di Francine, è per solidarietà nei confronti delle donne meno fortunate che uno smalto non se lo possono permettere. Il colore? Giallo, ovviamente.
Io ho optato per una declinazione in foil del giallo, che risulta un quasi-oro.

Today is a special day, yup, 8th March.
And I know that all of you know why, because it's the INTERNATIONAL Women Day.
But this post is a creation after Francine's suggestion, supporting women around the world who can't afford a polish. Colour? Yellow, of course.
I've chosen a gilded shade of yellow, a foil one. 

Lui è O·P·I Oy-Another Polish Joke! (NL E78), foil giallo sheer (sotto vedete tre mani).
Questo genere di finish mi fa sempre pensare che siano degli higlander, sti smalti, in realtà noto molto meno il tip wear proprio a causa del finish. Buona applicazione e tempi di asciugatura.

This is O·P·I Oy-Another Polish Joke! (NL E78), a sheer yellow foil (below, 3 coats).
This kind of finish make me think that this kind of polishes is an highlander one because I don't notice much tip wears, thanks to the finish. Nice application and drying time.

Va bene, mi dispiace di esser stata così banale, quest'oggi, ma sono riuscita a scrivere per il rotto della cuffia, sono in super ritardo.

Giardino d'Inverno #09 [Favourite Book] - The Lord Of The Rings Nail Art

Ommamma, è il momento di mostrarvi un nuovo post del nostro Giardino d'Inverno!
Come potreste sapere, ho esaurito gli smalti opachi da mostrare, ecco perché sto ricorrendo così spesso a "nail art".
L'appuntamento di oggi ha come tema il libro preferito, tema proposto da Sara.
Il che mi ha fatto pensare che, ora come ora, non ho un libro preferito, ma un genere preferito, assolutamente il Fantasy!
Ma, quando ero bimba piccina, il mio preferito era Il Signore Degli Anelli, sapevo le mille mila canzoni/poesie a memoria, mi sono arrabbiata follemente quando Jackson non ha inserito Tom Bombadil nella sua trasposizione cinematografica. E, se vogliamo, quando penso a "fantasy", il primo titolo che mi viene in mente è proprio la suddetta trilogia tolkeniana.
Ecco il mio soggetto, quindi.

It's Friday, again.
Oh my, it's time to show you a new Giardino d'Inverno post!
As you might know, I've run out of matte/satin lacquers, I've already showed them all here, so I have to do "nail arts".
Today's appointment has as theme "Favourite Book", theme chosen by Sara.
And that made me think that I don't have a favorite book, right now, just a favorite genre: Fantasy.
But, when I was a little child, my favorite "reading thing" was The Lord Of The Rings trilogy.
I knew almost all of the rhymes and songs in it, I was mad when Jackson didn't show Tom Bobadil in his movies. And, I have to say, when I think of "fantasy" the first title that jumps in my mind is Tolkien's trilogy.
So, that's my theme for today.

Dopo aver steso una base foil dorata - Revlon 146 Golden Coin - l'ho satinata utilizzando il topper 07 Softouch della Essence. Quindi, usando un pennellino e il mio fidato Color Club 854 Where's The Soiree? (nero satinato) ho riportato la prima parte della scritta dell'Unico Anello, con i caratteri tengwar, precisamente la parte "Ash nazg durbatulûk", ovvero ciò che è stato tradotto in italiano come "un anello per domarli (tutti)".

After a golden foil base - Revlon 146 Golden Coin - I've added a layer of Essence topper 07 Softouch. Then, with a brush and my entrusted Color Club Where's The Soiree? (satin black lacquer), I've recreated the One Ring inscription with tengwar characters and, more specifically, the first part, "Ash nazg durbatulûk", "One Ring to rule them all".

Ispirandomi alla pellicola cinematografica, ho poi aggiunto, nella parte centrale della scritta, il rosso fuoco.

I've added in the middle of the writing a fire red colour, inspired by the movie.

Sul pollice, invece, ho ricreato l'occhio di Sauron. OK, perdonate il segno delle lenzuola sulla parte sinistra... Vi ho steso due mani di top coat e i segni sono spariti.
Per l'occhio ho usato: Sinful Color 101 Snow Me White, Kiko nn. 279, 280 e 236, Revlon 570 Vixen, Color Club 854 Where's The Soiree?.
Ma ecco il tutto, completo:

On the thumb I've recreated Sauron's eye. Well, sorry for sheets signs on the left... I've applied - after - a couple of top coat coats and they're gone.
For the eye, I've used: Sinful Color 101 Snow Me White, Kiko nn. 279, 280 e 236, Revlon 570 Vixen, Color Club 854 Where's The Soiree?.
But here's the whole thing:

Personalmente, un must.

This is the famous number 313, a purple lacquer with a gorgeous green shimmer.

IMHO, this is a must-have.
