EuRoPe: Europe - MI-NY Stardust 5 Glamorous + nail art & Re-Cap

Buongiorno e benvenuti a quest'ultimo (sigh!) post del nostro tour europeo.
Oggi niente popò di meno che l'Europa!

Good morning and welcome to this last (sigh!) EuRoPe post.
And we end this twinsie posts with Europe!

Ma prima, lustratevi gli occhietti assieme a me e a questo MI-NY della linea "costosa", la Sturdust (passata da 9,90 a 7,50 €)! Lui, nello specifico, è il numero 5, che risponde al nome di Glamorous, un bellissimo foil blu argentato. E' un one coater (purtroppo per distrazione ho cestinato la foto che lo dimostrava) ma in foto ne vedete due mani.

But first, here's the super shiny super gorgeous MI-NY! This is from the "expensive" line (now at 7,50, and previously at 9,90 €), Stardust! It is number 5 a.k.a. Glamorous, a silvery blue foil. This baby is a one coater (I've accidentally deleted the photo that would have proved that, though) but there are two in photos.

OK, io lo trovo sconvolgentemente bello! L'ho usato anche come base per una nail art natalizia e fa la sua porca figura. Ma torniamo "on topic".
Dopo aver recuperato il mio fidato O·P·I Honey Ryder e un dotter, ho ricreato il cerchio delle 12 stelle (mi è andata bene, le ho fatte a caso!) della nostra Bandiera Europea e ho aggiunto tre stelle sulle altre unghie.

OK, IMHO this is stunningly beautiful! I've used it also as a base for a Christmas nail art and it was just perfect. But back on topic.
Using my trusted O·P·I Honey Ryder and a dotter I've recreated the European Flag on the ring finger nails and added three stars on the other nails.

EuRoPe: Éire - Pupa 107 Golden Cream + nail art

Buonasera! Il nostro tragitto europeo ci porta alla penultima tappa del nostro percorso: la magica Irlanda.

Good evening! Today is the second-to-last post about our european tour. We head to the magical Éire.

Innanzitutto, vi mostro questo delicatissimo Pupa, il nutro 107, Golden Cream, uno smalto perlato bianco crema con shimmer dorati. Pensavo fosse più sheer per poi farne layering, invece in foto lo vedete in 3 passate.

First things first, here's Pupa 107 Golden Cream, a cream pearl white lacquer with golden shimmer. I've thought  this would have been sheer-er... for layering... nope, 3 coats in photos below.

La base perfetta per la mia nail art ispirata alla bandiera irlandese. "Venne disegnata per rappresentare le popolazioni nazionaliste cattoliche (verde) e unioniste protestanti (arancione) dell'Isola di Irlanda, che vivono assieme in pace, pace che è rappresentata dal bianco" da Wikipedia. Per ricrearla ho voluto dare un'idea di avvicinamento di queste due popolazioni, ecco spiegata la mia (banale?) nail art sottostante!

The perfect base colour for my Irish flag inspired nail art. "The Irish government has described the symbolism behind each colour as being that of green representing the Gaelic tradition of Ireland, orange representing the followers of William of Orange in Ireland, and white representing the aspiration for peace between them." from Wikipedia. So, to recreate it I wanted to give an idea of approach between these people, hence my nail art below!

L'arancione è Urban Decay Bang, il verde fluo è il Layla I♥Layla 06 Dark Green Fluo.

Today we head to Belgium!
And no, no chocolate, we're on a diet :(

Per il post di oggi nulla di troppo impegnativo, solo un semplice "smaltimento smalti", ovvero vi mostro tre smalti, uno dei quali già mostrato, che altrimenti avrei difficoltà a mostrarvi (non amo swatchare gli smalti ad effetto crackle). Come potete presumere dalla foto sopra, ho optato per tre Layla Graffiti Top Coat (Black, Yellow e Red) per ricreare la bandiera belga.

For today's post I went for something easy, super easy.
Three crackle effect top coats used to recreate the flag of Belgium over my nails: Layla Graffiti Top Coat in Black, Yellow and Red.

Per crearla sulle unghie "nude" ho dovuto precedentemente stendere del top coat, per far sì che lo smalto crackle si aprisse.

To recreate the crackle effect on bare nails I needed to put a coat of top coat before the crackle nail polish.

EuRoPe: United Kingdom - Flag Nail Art (England, Wales, Scotland, Norther Ireland)

Il furgoncino della felicità questo venerdì prosegue il suo viaggio e ci porta nel Regno Unito.
E, per questo speciale appuntamento, niente swatch, solo una “misera” nail art!
Al solito, sapete che sono un’affezionata delle bandiere, ma questa volta ne avevo fin troppe… Sì, perché sappiamo tutti che il Regno Unito viene rappresentato dalla Union Jack ma le nazioni costitutive sono ben 4, qui: Inghilterra, Galles, Scozia e Irlanda del Nord.
Ed ecco cosa ho combinato:

The happy bus this Friday is in the United Kingdom.
No swatch for this special post, just a “tiny” nail art! 
You surely know I am liking national flags but this time there were just too many of them… Yup, we know that UK flag is Union Jack but here there are 4 constituent contries: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. 
Here’s what I’ve done:

La cosa comune è la base bianca, il Sinful Colors 101 Snow Me White.
Indice: qui trovate la bandiera inglese, ricreata utilizzando il Kiko 236.
Medio: la bandiera gallese è protagonista del medio, dove ho utilizzato sia il Kiko 296 che il 236, ricreando un dragone stilizzato.
Anulare: la bandiera scozzese, avevo deciso di inserirla indifferentemente da come sarebbero andate le elezioni dello scorso settembre. Il blu è O·P·I He Blue It This Time!.
Mignolo: qui ho ricreato la Union Jack anche per l’Irlanda del Nord che, nonostante a volte venga utilizzata una croce di Sant’Andrea rossa su sfondo bianco per rappresentarla, risulta non aver una bandiera ufficiale, se non l’Union Jack stessa. Kiko 236 in combo con il perfetto Sinful Colors Midnight Blue.
In passato avevo già proposto delle Union Jack sulle unghie, le potete trovare qui, qui e qui.
Per questa nail art stavo aspettando dei pennelli che non sono ancora arrivati, sarebbe dovuta venire fuori in maniera totalmente differente ma, in realtà, sono contenta che non siano ancora arrivati, sono abbastanza soddisfatta di ciò che ne è uscito.
E per oggi è tutto, qui sotto trovate le mie colleghe… intanto fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate!

The common thing in this nail art is the white base lacquer – Sinful Colors 101 Snow Me White. Pointer: here it is, the English flag, created using Kiko 236.
Middle finger: and the gorgeous Welsh flag has been recreated here in a simple way, using both Kiko 296 and 236.
Ring finger: I’ve chosen to put here the Scottish flag indifferently based on the latest September poll. The blue lacquer is O·P·I He Blue It This Time!.
Pinky: here it is, the beautiful Union Jack! Sometimes Northern Ireland uses a red Saint Andrew cross on a white flag but since Northern Ireland has no official flag besides Union Jack, here it is! Created with Kiko 236 and Sinful Colors Midnight Blue.
In the past, I’ve already made some Union Jack manis, so here they are: X – X – X.
I was waiting for nail art brushes for this nail art, brushes which aren’t arrived yet.
But then, I have to say I’m glad they didn’t already, because I really like the way this nail art went out.

Dovete sapere che, da quando avevo 10 anni, continuo a sostenere che ci vorrei andare a vivere, in Danimarca.
Avrei potuto rappresentarla in vari modi ma, come già sapete, punto sulle bandiere.

Già, avrei dovuto utilizzare il CE 45 e mi sono resa conto solo successivamente del mio errore. Scusate!
E ora lustratevi gli occhi, la mia amica danese Maria mi ha spedito a sorpresa un pacchetto che mi ha lasciata letteralmente squittendo.

And now turn your eyes into star for this surprise nail mail my dear danish friend Maria's sent to me - she made me squeak for joy.

Per ricreare la sua bandiera nazionale, quindi, ho cercato di riprodurre una sua creazione che mi era piaciuta un sacco, andando a sfruttare uno dei glitter del Northern Star Storybook Love che vedete qui sopra... Pronti, via!

Il mio portatile è nuovamente fuori uso; inizialmente mi han detto che fosse una cosa da nulla e invece - zac! - di nuovo problemi alla scheda grafica. Augurandomi che in assistenza siano decisamente più rapidi della volta precedente, eccomi qui, pronta con l'ombrellino pieghevole in mano per riprendere il nostro tour europeo.

My laptop is broken once again; at first technicians've said that it was a quick one but then it had to be sent to Apple technicians once again. Hoping it will be back soon, here is my planned post to continue our European trip.
Today we head to Spain.

Ma prima, facciamo rapidamente tappa in Italia per dare un'occhiata a questo Pupa 512 Afro Ochre, lucidissima crema color giallo ocra.

First things first: the base colour is this shiny ochre yellow créme, Pupa 512 Afro Ochre.

E ora, ecco come ho riproposta la bandiera spagnola sulle mie unghie, utilizzando anche un altro Pupa, il numero 614 Red Queen Heart.

I've paired it with another Pupa lacquer, 614 Red Queen Heart, to recreate my own spanish-flag-inspired dotticure.
