Buongiorno!
Ho deciso di programmare questo mese così da avere la maggior varietà di colorazioni possibili (o, almeno, da non avere immediatamente vicine due colorazioni analoghe). Per cui, oggi parliamo di blu e, per qualche post, non mostrerò più blu. Difficile credere un'amante del blu come me, vero? Beh, rimanente sintonizzati ;)

Good morning!
I've decided to plan this month in a way to avoid two similar shades twice a row and trying to put many different shades. So, today we talk about blue lacquers (well, just one, anyway...) and you won't see blue again for some posts. Hard to believe that, reading it from a blue lover like me, isn't it? Well, stay tuned ;)

O·P·I I Sea You Wear OPI è un bellissimo blu foil.
E' piuttosto sheer, per cui alla prima passata ero preoccupata per la quantità di strati da utilizzare... e invece, in 3 mani è perfetto! E dirò di più, stampa anche! Chiaro, essendo sheer il colore non riempie come lo vedete in boccetta... però funge.
Inoltre, dal vivo la linea dell'unghia è decisamente meno visibile rispetto alle foto.

O·P·I I Sea You Wear OPI is a beautiful foil blue.
It's pretty sheer so I was worrying, at first coat... but within 3 coats it's definitely perfect! And I have to say, it's good for stamping too! Obviously, being sheer the shade won't be bottle-like but... it works.
Plus, IRL the line is much less visibile than in my photos under the sun.

Questa bellezza appartiene alla collezione Brights 2015 e si asciuga velocemente.
Inoltre, ha un'ottima durata: testato per 8-10 giorni e si è consumato sulle punte, nulla di inguardabile.
Vi piace? Lo avete? Lo desiderate? Possedete qualcosa di simile?

This beauty is from the Brights 2015 collection and it's quick drying.
And it lasts long: I tested it and after 8-10 days it had some tip wears but nothing unwearable.

Come immaginabile dal titolo, sto parlando del MI-NY 1 Avenue Montaigne, uno smalto cromato di color argento per niente male.

As you might have guessed, I am talking about MI-NY 1 Avenue Montaigne, a silver chrome nail polish.

E' un one coater perfetto per lo stamping (già testato e *Ky* approvato), nelle mie foto lo vedete in due passate. Niente base nelle mie foto, per cui ovviamente potete notare diversi difetti della mia superficie ungueale, nulla che un buon base coat ridge filler non possa far evitare di mostrare.

This is a perfect for stamping (tested and *Ky*-approved) one coater lacquer and in my previous photos you can see it within two coats. No base coat for my pics so you can see my ridges - obviously - nothing that a good ridge filler base coat can't avoid to show.

Parlo dello stupendo MI-NY 185 Moon Light, smalto che sembra figlio dell'unione del blu con il color lavanda. Uno di quei colori che non possono mancare nella collezione di ogni fanciulla!

I'm talking about the gorgeous MI-NY 185 Moon Light, a lacquer born from the union between the blue colour and the lavender one. A must-have for every lady!

Quant'è bello???
Due passate in foto, niente top coat, si autolinea perfettamente.
Se proprio dovessi trovare qualche cosa di negativo, è leggermente più denso degli altri MI-NY in mio possesso.
Come potreste ricordare, lo adoro in combinazione con il MI-NY 55 Gauguin, ecco quindi una dotticure con questa accoppiata!

Two coats, no top coat, perfect self leveling.
If I had to be nitpicking I could say that it is just a tad thicker than my other MI-NY lacquers.
As you might remember, I love it with alongside MI-NY 55 Gauguin, so here it comes, my dotticure!

Eh, sì! Finalmente sono tornata, per restare.
Maggio è stato un mese davvero intenso che ha portato con sé diverse novità importanti... in positivo e in negativo. Ma queste novità non mi hanno mica fermata, eh? Ciò che mi ha fermata è stata... la morte (di nuovo, AAARGH!!!) del mio portatile. Ma ora sono di nuovo in pista e ho già diverse idee per i prossimi post.
Dicevo, maggio mese importante: mia mamma è andata in pensione, c'è stato il mio compleanno e ho trovato lavoro (seppur per 6 mesi di formazione). E sono arrivati le prime boccette dell'italiana MI-NY!
Oggi vi propongo uno dei colori che mi è maggiormente piaciuto all'interno della loro collezione...

Yup, I'm finally back! And I'm here to stay.
May has been a very busy month and came and went by with many important news alongside it. Both positive and negative ones. But these didn't stop me, you know? What did stop me was... the (once again) death of my laptop (AAARGH!!!). But now I'm definitely back with many ideas about the next posts.
As I was saying, May has been an important, busy month: my mom retired, there was my birthday and I found work (even if for just 6 formational months). And some MI-NY bottles arrived!
Today I'm going to share one of my all-times favourite from MI-NY range...

Parliamo del MI-NY 55 Gauguin, una stupenda crema celeste che fa pensare ai cieli estivi e ai mari cristallini nei quali a breve vorremmo tutti tuffarci.

I'm talking about MI-NY 55 Gauguin, a gorgeous sky blue créme lacquer. It reminds me of summer skies and of those crystal clear seas which we all would love to dive in soon.

OK, avete visto quant'è stupendo? Ma non si limita al colore: in foto lo vedete senza nessun tipo di top coat, è super lucido. E non finisce qua. La formula è ottima, si stende facilmente e si auto livella, oltre ad essere ben coprente (due passate in foto). Insomma, in piena linea con gli smalti MI-NY.
Con Gauguin ho tentato una striping nail art a mano libera che non mi ha pienamente soddisfatta (mea culpa). La guest star è Moon Light, il cui post dedicato arriverà molto presto.

Have you seen how amazing it is? And that's not just for the shade: above you see it without any top coat, it is so shiny. And that isn't all. The formula is perfect - easy to work with, it evens out and it is opaque within two coats. So, it's a "normal" MI-NY lacquer.
With this Gauguin I've tried a free-handed striping nail art which hasn't fully satisfied me (my fault). The guest star is Moon Light, which post will be published really soon.

This May is really demanding, as far as today's and myself is super busy, lately - so sorry for lacking in time: my mom is officially a pensionate, a friend's just got her Ph.D. degree, the school year is ending and some private lessons are particularly needed... so, I really need things to be easier or I won't be able to celebrate my birthday!
But let's talk briefly about this month's Discontinued Day!

Urban Decay Zodiac è uno smalto foil a base verde foresta con shimmer verde smeraldo, verde oliva, blu e magenta. Una bomba! 3 passate in foto ma asciugatura rapidissima.

Urban Decay Zodiac is a dark forest green foil lacquer with emerald green, olive green, blue and magenta shimmer. A gem! 3 coats in photos but very quick drying time.

Personalmente, adoro l'ombretto omonimo - prima o poi ve ne parlerò nello specifico - ma questo smalto è ancora più bello, se possibile. Cosa ne pensate?

IMHO, the same-named eyeshadow is amazing - I will write about it, one day - but this lacquer is even more beautiful! What do you think?

Parliamo di magnetici, gli smalti che contengono particelle magnetiche e che, se vi si passa sopra - a distanza di qualche centimetro - un magnete mentre lo smalto è ancora fresco si creeranno dei decori di forma diversa (con il magnete classico si creano delle righe parallele ma esistono in commercio magneti con decori diversi).

We talk about magnetic nail polishes, those which has magnetic particles which reacts to a magnet. Using the normal magnets you will have parallel lines (but you can find special magnet to create different shapes like hearts, swirls, stars and so on).

La mia scelta è ricaduta su questo smalto molto particolare che cambia decisamente colore quando utilizzato col magnete, il Layla Magneffect 14 Sparkling Champagne.

My pick is Layla Magneffect 14 Sparkling Champagne which changes shade wether you use the magnet or not.

Chiaramente, lo smalto magnetico può essere utilizzato anche senza sfruttare la sua particolarità.

Clearly, you can use this kind of lacquer without using the magnet.

Inoltre, di solito questo tipo di smalto funziona molto bene anche per lo stamping, avete mai provato?

After two posts about two of the most worldwide known board game such as Risk! and Monopoly, this month I'm going to talk about a newish party game which has already taken a little bit of my heart.
Let's welcome...

...Concept! Un party game di Alain Rivollet e Gaëtan Beaujannot che riunisce in se' l'idea dietro a giochi come Pictionary, Dixit, Saltinmente, Taboo e via dicendo.
In pratica, si pesca una carta che presenta 9 parole/titoli/personaggi/frasi da far indovinare divisi per tre livelli di difficoltà e se ne sceglie uno. Aiutandosi con "?" verde e i cubetti dello stesso colore bisogna far indovinare il concetto principale spostandoli sulla plancia che presenta diverse immagini.
Esistono inoltre altri 4 "!" con i relativi cubetti per i concetti secondari. Praticamente, un Taboo/Pictionary con le immagini già stampate sulla plancia.
Nel libretto delle regole (4 facciatine che comprende quasi unicamente esempi) è esplicitato il fatto che le regole che danno loro sono unicamente indicative e che si possono tranquillamente usare regole inventate sul momento. Ciò significa che i 4+ giocatori possono in realtà partire da 2 e arrivare anche a 20 persone e più, volendo.

...Concept! A party game created by Alain Rivollet and Gaëtan Beaujannot that's almost an hybrid between Pictionary, Dixit, Taboo and so on.
Basically, you have to draw a card and choose one of the nine descriptions (splitted in three difficulties). Using the green "?" and cubes you have to let the other player(s) guess the principal concept by putting them onto the images on the board. You have 4 additional "!" and same-coloured cubes for secondary concepts to help guessing.
In the 4 pages (almost just examples) of the rules they tell that you can create your own rules and ways to play. So the game is for 2+ players without a max number of players.

Ecco la plancia e le boccette utilizzate.
La base è uno smalto Pupa bianco utilizzato per ricreare il design pulito del gioco. Sull'indice ho disegnato due lampadine, che sono i segnapunti all'interno del gioco (la parte grigia sono i due Kiko 327 e 329). Sul medio ci sono i 4 punti esclamativi (Jessica Yellow Flame, O·P·I OPI Red, MI-NY 174 Ocean, Astra 701 Black). L'anulare è dedicato al "?" verde (Layla 206). Infine, sul mignolo ho riutilizzato i colori di medio e anulare per creare i cubetti da utilizzare per far comprendere i concetti.

Here's the board and the nail polishes used.
The base colour is a white Pupa lacquered, used to recreate the clean design of the game. On the index I've drawn two light bulbs - the points in the game (the grey lacquers are Kiko 327 and 329). On the middle finger nails you see the 4 "!" (Jessica Yellow Flame, O·P·I OPI Red, MI-NY 174 Ocean, Astra 701 Black). On the Ring finger nail there is the green "?" (Layla 206). Last, on the pinky I've used the previous nail colours to recreate the colorful cubes used for let guessing concepts.
