Sono i due smalti che facevano parte della collezione 100 Years di L’Oreal (se non erro, del 2009)…
Lo so, è passata una vita, ma sono ancora perfetti!
E ho visto che qualche negozio on line li vende ancora… ^w^

I know, they are really old, but still perfect!

La boccetta viola riporta il “610”, mentre quella arancione il “420”.
Incominciamo da quella arancione:

Volevo postarvi questo smalto ieri ma, dopo aver visto le foto che avevo fatto un po’ di tempo fa, ho deciso di non pubblicarlo, anche perché ieri diluviava e la luce era davvero misera, del tutto inadatta per riprendere le immagini.
Così, eccoci qua, con questo smalto, forse il mio preferito fra quelli economici:

I wanted to post this yesterday but after watching the old pictures I decided to post it today (yesterday it was raining, too!).
So here we are, with this polish that I really love, it’s my favourite cheap polish:

Si tratta di un ever (i fratelli gemelli di Shaka) senza nome ma con un numero: 59.
Se non li conoscete, sono smalti economici fatti in Italia.
La loro reperibilità (perlomeno dove abito io) è presso gli store OVS.
Questo in particolare è un azzurro-blu stupendo dai riflessi rosa (anche se, sulle unghiette, il riflesso si nota poco o nulla):

It’s an “ever” (twin siblings of Shaka’s) without a name. Its reference is 59.
IDK if you can find it outside Italy but, if you are in Italy, you might find them in OVS stores.
This is a gorgeous blue with pink highlights (although, you won’t see them so much onto the nails):

Mi ricorda davvero tanto il Blue Iguana di China Glaze, solo che quest’ultimo è leggermente più scuro.

Ok, qui notate un pochino la linea della unghie: colpa mia!
Perché ho fatto solo due passate, ma con tre questo smalto risulta totalmente coprente:

Because there are just two coats but, with three, it’s perfectly opaque:

Ecco, infatti, come risulta con le varie passata: una sull’indice, due sul medio e tre su anulare e mignolo.

Il sito ufficiale Zoya lo descrive come “Un vibrante blu metallico: intenso ed incredibilmente fashion.”.
Originariamente, faceva parte della collezione Candy Collection.

Givenchy Vernis Please! 180 Acoustic Purple (Nail Polish)

Oggi vi mostro uno degli acquisti che mi abbia maggiormente lasciata perplessa!
Si tratta di uno smalto in “super edizione limitata” (nella profumeria in cui bazzico di solito, ne avevano 3 e li hanno esauriti nel giro di 10 giorni), chiamato Acoustic Purple e facente parte della nuova collezione autunno-invernale del 2012.
Mettiamola così, io ho fatto le foto, ma è uno smalto praticamente infotografabile ^w^”

Today I’m going to show you a limited edition nail polish: Acoustic Purple from the fall-winter 2012 collection from Givenchy.
Yeah, I’ve taken the picture but I have to say that is almost impossible to photograph ^w^”

In quest’immagine metto subito uno degli aspetti negativi (secondo me) degli smalti Givenchy: l’applicatore.
La boccetta è un parallelepipedo e il tappo calca la stessa forma, diventando abbastanza fastidioso da maneggiare, sempre secondo la mia personalissima opinione.
Il secondo aspetto negativo?

This picture shows one of the cons of these Givenchy polishes: the handle is a parallelepiped and it’s a bit tricky, IMHO.
The second con?

Vedete quei glitterini fuschia? Si vedono poco o nulla, una volta steso lo smalto sui nostri piccoli artigli.
Non fatevi ingannare dalla foto, sembra a base blu, in realtà è molto più tendente al viola e ha tanti più brillantini, nella boccetta.
Eccolo, una volta steso, sotto luce artificiale:

Can you so see that fuschia glitters? They remains in the bottle.
Better, they won’t reflect the light so they are almost invisible, after applying the polish on the nails.
Don’t be fooled by the pic, it’s not a blue-based polish, it’s way more purple and with a lot more glitters, in the bottle.

Ok, in sua difesa devo dire che sotto la luce del sole risulta molto più carino, sempre secondo me:

Il prezzo.
Assolutamente fuori da ogni parametro umano.
Ve lo dico?
No, vi faccio soffrire ancora un momento.
Prima vi dico la quantità contenuta nella boccetta: 5,5mL (0.18 FL.OZ).
Va bene, ora tocca al prezzo.
Nella mia profumeria, indicativamente, le cose costano sempre 1-2€ di meno (tenetene conto)!
Questo smalto l’ho pagato 15€!
Avete letto bene, 15€ per soli 5,5mL.
No comment.
In sua difesa vi posso dire che tutte le unghiette hanno due passate ad eccezione dell’anulare, sul quale ne ho fatta solo una e potete notare che, effettivamente, una passata è sufficiente.
Il tempo di asciugatura è veramente rapidissimo e ha una buona durata.
Altra pecca, secondo me, è il fatto che sia un pochino troppo denso, secondo i miei gusti…

Ahahah, ma quanto sono acida, oggi???

The beauty shop from which I’ve bought this polish has lower prices, normally 1-2€ less than the other shops.
I’ve paid 15€
! Yep, 15€ for 5,5mL.
No comment.
I have to say that one coat is enough (if you take a look at the pics, the ring finger has one coat and on the other nails there are two coats), it dries quickly and has a good lasting. IMHO, it has another last con: it’s a bit thick.

And here’s Julieanne (ZP526) by Zoya!

Il sito Zoya lo descrive come “Viola scuro metallico con una sottile bicromia oro, pesca e verde su base blu. Misterioso ed affascinante, una tra le tonalità più sofisticate di Zoya.”. Guardate che arcobaleno di colori, sulla boccetta!
In base a come lo colpisce la luce, questo smalto acquisisce punti di viola differenti.
E’ ipnotico! Ahahah

Zoya’s website describe Julieanne as a “Unique purple sparkles with gold, peach and yellow-green duochrome in a dark blue-purple base.This dark and eye catching shade is a must have for any rocker chick.”
It changes colour as the light hit it. Look at the unicorn’s pee on the bottle!
It’s hypnotic! LOL

Sotto la luce naturale, però, da’ il meglio si se’. Problema: alle mie latitudini è un po’ che il sole non si mostra e, se si mostra, io sono chiusa nel sottosuolo a studiare.
Per cui, eccovi alcune foto fatte in una fresca giornata autunnale con il cielo super coperto.

Golden Nail Art

Quest'estate ho avuto parecchio tempo libero e ho "creato" parecchie Nail "Art".
Oggi ho deciso di condividerne una con voi, proprio la più recente, che ho sfoggiato per una settimana intera un po' di tempo fa.
Si tratta di una nail art con un gradient creato grazie alla spugnetta utilizzando uno smalto oro sopra uno argento.
Eccolo nell'ombra:

This summer I had a lot of free time and so I "created" a lot of Nail "Arts".
Today I decided to share one of them with you, the most recent one, which I wore for a full week, some weeks ago.
This is a gradient nail art with a gold polish over a silver one.
Here's what it's like in the shadow:

Ed eccolo sotto la luce diretta (sfocata):

And here's under direct light (blurred picture):

C'è da dire che sotto il sole non si nota molto, ho avuto un po' di problemi nel fotografarla, si notava davvero poco o niente.

Ma il lavoro non è finito qui.

Sopra il gradient, infatti, ho applicato uno strato di smalto a base trasparente con miniglitter bronzo, esagoni medi dorati e pezzi di foil dorato/madreperlato di varia grandezza, per poi sigillare il tutto con un top coat.

Ecco il risultato sulla zampa sinistra:

I have to say, I had a bit of an issue while I was taking the picture because it's a "soft" effect (everything was silver).

But I have not finish yet.

After I created the gradient, I apply a coat of a clear base nail polish with bronze miniglitter, gold hexagons and golden/pearl foil pieces and then I used a top coat.

Here's the result on my left hand:

Glitter Comparison And A Grey Nail Polish

Lo so, lo so, il secondo post nello stesso giorno… e parlo di cose differenti!
Che succede?
Nulla di che, praticamente stavo indossando uno smalto grigio quando ho deciso di provarlo con uno smalto da layering… e poi un altro… e un altro ancora.
Così ho deciso di postare il tutto e mostrarvi questa sorta di “comparazione”, soprattutto per quanto riguarda l’ultima immagine!

Sephora Urban Forest Nail Trio (City Amazon, Jungle Playground, Military Jacket)

Oggi vi mostro un set da 3 smalti che ho trovato da Sephora.
Credo sia un tris di smalti che fosse in vendita ancora lo scorso autunno ma, a luglio, avendolo guardato e avendo successivamente pensato che tutti e tre questi colori mi mancavano, per 5€ ho deciso di acquistare queste boccette da 5mL(0.16FL.OZ.) l’una.

Today I’m going to show you a nail polish trio which I found at Sephora’s.
I think that this trio was already on sale during last autumn but I saw it on july and then I realized that I do not own these colours, then I buy this set of three 5mL (0.16FL.OZ.) nail polishes for 5€.

Da sinistra verso destra, queste boccettine hanno i seguenti nomi:
• L44 City Amazon (beige)
• 83 Jungle Playground (verde prato)
• L42 Military Jacket (verde scuro)

L-R, their names are:
• L44 City Amazon (taupe)
• 83 Jungle Playground (grass green)
• L42 Military Jacket (pretty dark green)

Il City Amazon è un colore abbastanza nudo (sarebbe nudo se avessi un colore di pelle più scuro).
Mi ha lasciata molto incuriosita il fatto che, con una sola passata, il colore risulta diverso che con due: guardate l’anulare e paragonatelo al mignolo!
Sul mignolo ho fatto una sola passata, su tutte le altre ne ho fatte due.
Sospetto!

City Amazon should be a naked colour (it is if you have a darker skin than me).
I became curious after seeing the difference from one to two coats.
You can see it just taking a glaze at the ring and at the little fingers!
On the little finger I did one coat and on all the other nails there are two coats.
Suspicious!

Generalmente, sulle unghie, non vado pazza per i verdi ma i due presenti in questo set mi piacciono molto, sono entrambi particolari.
Jungle Playground ha quest’effetto shimmer che lo rende prezioso!
Anche in questo caso ho steso due mani su tutte le unghie tranne che sul mignolo, sulla cui unghia ho steso una sola mano.

Normally, I do not love too much green nail polishes but these two are just gorgeous.
Jungle Playground is a precious shimmer!
Here you have two coats except for the middle finger nail, on which there is just one coat.

Ultimo ma non meno importante, il Military Jacket.
Questo mi piace ancora di più!
Ha un effetto che sembra un matt lucido, una cosa particolare…
E’ parecchio coprente già dalla prima passata (anche se dipende più dal fatto di come si stende lo smalto), basta guardare l’anulare, dove c’è una sola mano di smalto, contro le altre unghie, sulle quali ce ne sono due.
Quale vi piace di più?
Mai provato questi smalti Sephora?
Se sì, come vi siete trovati?

Last but not least, Military Jacket.
This is the one which I loved most!
It’s a super strange effect, a sort of matt creme, but it’s not matt.
It’s opaque with just one coat (but the result may vary depending on how you put the polish on), just look at the ring finger nail, where there is only one coat.
On the other nails there are two coats.
Which polish do you prefer?
